I have had big 55 gallon fish tanks that have lasted years. I recently decided to have a tank again for my office but not as big. So I looked on amazon and decided on purchasing this 20 gallon tank. It did take longer to arrive but was packed expertly and nice heavy glass not like some pet stores that you would find. Heavy thick glass and well bonded/welded contruction at the seams! I was impressed with the tank kit and Wish I had started with this size 7 years ago, but I could not afford the size a the prices offered at that time. Today's reward has been a bonus for both aquatic pets and human guardians. Would recommend this product.

    • Very sturdy
At first I was scared the the whole tank would break as soon as I fill it up but a few months later it is still going strong. Some people may not like the black silicone they used inside but i personally like it.

Very well made fish tank and very reasonably priced. Came well packed. Note that in the picture the seams are almost clear. What I got (and what other reviewers are saying they received) is a tank with solid black seams. It looks good but if you are looking for a fish tank with clear ones this is not it. The aquarium came cracked I honestly like it and another thing is there was silicone all over the glass

Solid tank! It was packaged very well for shipping. There is some black silicone visible as some other customers noted, and it isn't entirely uniform around the tank (some smaller strings look almost like cracks). I'm happy with the tank for functionality, and am confident it will last me for years and survive a few relocations. ... show more

The product in the picture is not the product you will receive. The product in the picture shows clear silicon but I received black silicon like a similar review I found after I had already ordered it. You can get the same tank in store for $35.

    • needs to find more careful shipper
I purchased this aquarium and upon arivial i found the end of it was shattered. I understand things happen in shipping but was still very disappointed. I tried to return it through the amazon site but ran into complications. if you return items from an independent company like carolina biological supply company contact them. don't go through the amazon site. my package was lost for a while until a friend that works at the shipping company (which name i won't mention) tracked the package and found the label to be wrong the Problem was fixed and i did revieve a refund and a coupon from this company apologizing for the inconvenience. Over all the aquarium was very nice and seemed will worth the money had it not been shattered. ... show more
