I have a 300 gallon stock tank pond and purchased the 900 gallon model. My pond was in shambles due to various filters and pumps constantly bogging down. I hadn't done any maintenance on it in months and the water was completely green and not circulating. I decided to get it together finally and wanted something powerful enough to move the water. This filter has been running while I clean the pond (using API pond products - algaefix, sludge destroyer, and accuClear). In the past these products work well but create particles which bog down the filter. But it doesn't seem to be problem with this powerful pump. The water is clearing up remarkably well and the fountain is still pushing water without a drop in performance. The pump and filter are made out of a very high quality plastic and the whole thing feels very sturdy. It requires two outlets (one for the pump, one for the light I assume). Also note that you can't change the color of the LED. The fountain head options are nice and the height and angle of the pipe is easily adjustable so it will look right in the water if your bottom isn't level. I didn't have any issues with the filter trying to float. The included media seems sufficient. There is noise to hear over the sound of the fountain. I'm hoping this will last a long time but will update my review if there's a problem.

The media could not be loaded. After jumping through some serious hoops to find whom to talk to about getting this refunded/replaced, we finally found contact info and we were able to get them to replace the pump part free of charge. I'd give it 5 stars if it were easier to find whom TO CONTACT to get a refund/replacement. The unit when working is fantastic. We have a large 3000-gallon pond that is built into our retaining wall and hill that held our Koi AND Goldfish. Last year we had a HUGE Goldfish spawn and ended up with over 100 babies to get rid of, on top of the adults we had (around 15) so we decided to create a smaller pond JUST for our goldfish. It was a REAL challenge catching them all in our larger pond, but by the end of the summer last year we had managed to catch them all and put them into the smaller pond, which is about 250-300 gallons. I found this filter and it seemed like just what I needed for the smaller pond so we ordered one in the spring of 2020. I liked the fact that it had the UV filter in it as well since it's a fairly small pond and has about 10 goldfish in it. I also liked that it had the fountainhead because I did not have any water surface movement on the right side. Sadly by the end of the season, around September it completely stopped working. I have no clue why, but it's completely DEAD!! It's unfortunate that it broke so soon because it really was working great. Not sure if we just got a bum one, or if they all just conk out after a short period of time, but we will be looking for a new one in the spring again and we probably will not spend the $$ for this one, which was a bit pricy!! But we spend a LOT of money on our ponds each year, we just need to VALUE from what we spend, it's not a cheap hobby to have Koi! lol

Small pond and this is about my 5th filter in 12 years, I like it the best. Ease of cleaning with the handle and the turtles can't knock it over with it's heavy base. The fountain feature is also stable. Other filters faltered in all of those areas.

My experience with the Inpond 5 in 1 Pond & Water Pump, Filter, UV Clarifier has been marked by disappointment and frustration. Despite its promises of convenience and efficient pond maintenance, this product has failed to deliver on its claims, leaving me regretting my purchase. Right from the start, the installation process was far more complex than anticipated. The instructions provided were confusing and poorly illustrated, making it difficult to determine the correct setup. This resulted in unnecessary trial and error, which consumed valuable time and effort. As someone who expected a user-friendly solution, the convoluted installation process was a major letdown. The performance of the product has also fallen short of expectations. The water pump's capacity is abysmally inadequate, leaving my pond's water circulation subpar at best. Despite being marketed as suitable for ponds of a certain size, the pump struggled to maintain a consistent flow and failed to effectively filter the water. The result was murky and stagnant water that was far from the clean and inviting environment I had envisioned. The UV clarifier, which was meant to control algae growth, proved to be equally ineffective. Despite running the clarifier for an extended period, the algae problem in my pond persisted. This left me questioning the potency of the UV technology used and doubting the product's ability to address common pond issues. The overall build quality of the product was also disappointing. The materials used felt flimsy and cheap, and the components lacked the sturdiness required for outdoor use. The UV clarifier's casing, in particular, showed signs of wear and weathering within a short period, raising concerns about its durability over time. Additionally, the promised convenience of the 5-in-1 functionality was overshadowed by the lack of effectiveness in each aspect. The product's inability to perform its core functions has made it feel like a bundle of subpar components rather than a comprehensive solution for pond maintenance. In conclusion, my experience with the Inpond 5 in 1 Pond & Water Pump, Filter, UV Clarifier has been overwhelmingly negative. The product's difficult installation, inadequate performance, poor build quality, and failure to address pond issues make it a purchase I deeply regret. If you're seeking efficient and reliable pond maintenance solutions, I strongly advise considering alternatives from reputable brands that have a track record of delivering on their promises. This product's shortcomings have made it a frustrating and disappointing addition to my pond care efforts.
