  • Best Goggles Ever!
Color: Black & Silver Lens Color: Smoke
I have been using these for about 2 months now and used them in my Galveston Ironman 70.3 race. I now know why a lot of professional triathletes wear Aqua Sphere. THESE ARE, BY FAR, THE BEST SWIM GOGGLES I HAVE EVER WORN. I saw in a few reviews where people complained of a distorted view. I am not sure what they are talking about as these are amazingly clear. The google surface is slightly curved, but I can't tell a difference at all. Simply put, they are the most crystal clear goggles I have ever worn. These are a little bulky so I could see where some people that are primarily lap swimmers might not like the larger size, but they are surprisingly light. The eye cups are large and very supple; extremely comfortable. I could see how this might pose a problem with someone with a really small head/face. I am a pretty big guy and these fit my face perfectly. The anti-fog was amazing at first, but has diminished over time. This has been my experience with all goggles that sell themselves as "anti-fog." These were the best anti-fog goggles in performance and duration that I have ever used though. If you are a triathlete or an open water swimmer I would think you would be hard pressed to find a better pair of swim goggles. I do a lot of training in open water and the pool and wear these goggles at all times. They are very comfortable, especially during long sessions. One last little note, they come with a nice hard case to keep them safe in your gear bag. Nice touch! ... show more

  • They seem like perfect goggles
Color: Black & Silver Lens Color: Smoke
I did a lot of research before choosing these. Bought two pairs for an upcoming cruise to the Bahams with my girlfriend. These goggles feel wonderful on my face, and have a very convenient adjusting system to get the perfect tightness that you prefer. They offer quite good peripheral vision as well. The tinted lens is 100% UV blocking, if I recall correctly, which is awesome since it turns them into a sunglass-style pair of goggles perfect for sunny beaches with great, clear water with cool fish to check out. My girlfriend and I both agreed these are the best feeling goggles we have ever worn. I will update my review in a few weeks once we get some good use out of them. They feel like they won't leak since they have strong but comfortable suction to the face. I have high hopes for these goggles. ... show more

  • *UPDATE* -- Super comfortable, ahhh!
Color: Black & Green Lens Color: Smoke
Updating this review and dropping a star for leaking that showed up after I left the goggles in my bag for the winter and didn't swim. Lo and behold, now they leak ... where they never did before. They feel exactly the same, but even if I crank the straps down to uncomfortably tight levels, they still leak after swimming even one lap. I think the storage period made the rubber break down or change shape? Who knows, but I guess I should buy a new pair. They will still work for playing with the kids and stuff, but not for swimming laps anymore. If you're a serious swimmer I guess just plan to replace them every year anyway? Curious to know if anyone has had a pair last 2-3 years, or if that is just a silly expectation. --- Original Review --- Compared to my previous Speedo-type standard goggles, these are a dream. I can swim for 1 hour and barely feel them, as they rest on the bones of my face, and don't dig into my eyeballs like every other goggle I've ever owned. A bonus is that these are still "streamlined" and don't look huge on my face like a scuba mask. They just look like cool goggles a triathlete would wear, or something like that. They have a low profile and are still sleek. Super happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Big Fit for Big-Head Dudes (and medium-head dudettes)
Color: Black & Silver Lens Color: Smoke
Last year I bought the Aqua Sphere Seal Swim Mask because the reviews indicated that it fit larger heads well. I have a larger head - not like a pinata or anything, but it's larger than say... my neighbor's head. My hat size is 7 5/8". THAT mask didn't quite cut the mustard: too many leaks after a short time of doing laps. It may fit other big heads, but not mine. Clearly, the topography of my face isn't standard either. This Kayenne goggle, however, really stays snug on my melon. At first, I tightened the size-adjustment straps way too tightly, and while I didn't experience water leaks, I emerged from my workout looking like a bulging-eyed raccoon. That had been stepped on. By a malevolent piano that had leaped from a skyscraper. When I slackened the straps, I found that the cups stayed in place even with very slight tensioning. The strap adjustment, I should mention, is so fast and smooth that one can make multiple one-handed adjustments in no time. As for the function of these lenses, it has been covered very well by hundreds of others, but the short of it is that the view is crystal clear, with little-to-no blind spot in the periphery. With proper rinsing and storage after swimming in the pool, I'm hopeful that the goggles will last a good long while. I have the smoke lens, and think I'll order a clear lens for late afternoon swims, as the dark lens is really pretty dark. Great in full sun, but in early evening... not so much. I made my wife (with a standard-size, beautifully-formed head) put these on, and she's asked for a pair to replace her cruddy pool-shop goggles. I can't say it will fit you perfectly, but in our small sample size of 2, these goggles have emerged as a clear winner. ... show more
