The comforter came vacuum sealed, I would absolutely suggest putting it in the dryer on tumble to fluff it up. I bought the King size and it was not difficult at all to tie to my duvet cover on my own. It seems light weight, but while sleeping the first night it felt like sleeping in clouds but also was kept warm without sweating. It’s definitely more of a cooling weight and very comfortable and durable so far, as we have 1 small dog that sleep in bed with us and there have been no issues, tears, or feathers coming out. The comforter came vacuum sealed, I definitely suggest putting it in the dryer on tumble to fluff it up. Love it! We’re in NorCal so this duvet will probably only be a half year covering, because it is so soft and fluffy and warm! We have been sleeping much better since we purchased it, it is like sleeping wrapped in a cloud. And it actually fits our Cal King duvet cover, unlike others we have tried. I’ve been on the hunt for a thick duvet insert and this really took the cake for me. It’s sooo soft and comfortable I find my cats and dog sleeping on it more than me. It does get hot underneath but it’s probably because my boyfriend and I both use it at night to sleep. Also it is a bit heavy so good for when you want some weight in your blanket.
