The stitching is strong and well-crafted, which keeps the filling evenly distributed, so there are no cold spots. I also love that it's hypoallergenic, which is a big plus for someone with sensitive skin and allergies. It fits perfectly in my duvet cover, but it's also stylish enough to be used on its own thanks to its clean, quilted design. Best of all, it's machine washable and comes out of the dryer fluffy and fresh every time. I am very happy with this duvet. I was on a mission to find a duvet that was good quality, comfortable, lightweight yet not flat, and cozy. I sleep hot and live in a warm climate, and I tried the bamboo/eucalyptus covers because they are supposed to be "cooling." They were flat and didn't offer the "poof" I also wanted in a lightweight duvet. And, when I discovered that they don't actually cool you (how could they?), I explored other options. After researching goose down fiber vs goose feather fiber, I decided on this Beautyrest goose down fiber duvet because goose down is fluffy, and feathers have a distinct quill. I didn't want to get poked by sharp feathers. While down is very insulating, I've read that it also has temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking properties, which allow air to circulate and prevent overheating. I will no longer use an alternative down because synthetic material will trap heat, and not in a good way. Last but not least, it was extremely important that this duvet was Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified. ... show more

This comforter is excellent quality. The fabric is tightly woven to allow few feathers through. The box baffles are firmly stitched to keep the filling from shifting and the edge piping is tight and secure. The corner and edge loops are solidly sewn and their presence is much appreciated as I always use a duvet cover with ties to keep the duvet in place. The 'extra warmth' is indeed very warm; I love to sleep with the room very chilly so I can snuggle up in my bedding and this duvet is perfect for that. The only downside (I made a pun!) is that there is a squeaky/crunchy noise when this comforter is shifted around, which is a little distracting though has not yet awakened me from sleep. Perhaps that will improve after laundering, though that won't happen til next spring. A solid value at $140. ... show more

I just bought a house and I was in need of some white bedding and I found these I have a downfield comforter in my bedroom and this is by the same brand and it does not disappoint. I love that it’s so fluffy. All I had to do was start in dryer for three minutes on low and it fluffed up really really full. They are easy to wash and since I’ve had this one before I know that the feathers don’t come out like other downfield comforters. I will continue to recommend this comforter to anyone. ... show more
