    • High Risk/High (or, SUPER High?) Reward Purchase
Amazon Renewed — what a “high risk/high reward” type of purchase. I was debating on buying through the Apple refurbished store, and even with a military discount, taxes, and add in Apple Care, I’m close to the price of the most current gen (Ultra 3) in price. The renewed watches do not give the option for Apple Care, though some may come with it already on it (mine did not), look at the warranty program through Amazon—365 DAYS! You’re getting that through the purchase of the watch at no extra cost. For the best purchase experience I’d scroll to the bottom of the item purchase screen and see who the seller/shipper is. I went through Amazon as the seller and shipper so I could go through them if I wanted to return. Now, the high risk/high reward. With taxes I paid less than half the price of an ultra 3. However, even going with the “Premium” renewed line, you never know what is going to come in the box. But with the 365 return period it would definitely be worth the risk. It comes with a third party charger and a lot of the times the battery as dead—WOOIE I can’t believe people complain about this. I already had the charger so it was not a concern of mine. The excitement of getting it delivered was a little unhealthy, I really didn’t know if there’d be scratches/scuffs, or what the battery health of the device would be at. I receive the package, open it up, the body of the device is near PERFECT! Okay, check 1. Next was the most important check. This would determine if I would keep it or send it back, or if I would be able to have this for 6 years like my Series 5 watch. I pair it (you must have an iPhone for the Ultras), charge it, and nervously go to view the battery health….99%!!!! This is a near brand new device that cost me half the price. Doesn’t this sound like a high risk/high reward? If you’re in the market, go here and get the “Premium” condition and follow the steps I laid out. You may get a beater, but hey, return it and try again and save yourself several hundred dollars. Buy a ESR screen protector that protects the plateau where the screen is. I can’t even tell I have one on. These watches last for days on a single charge, have a massive screen (49 MM) and can look extremely classy, athletic, or even chill with the multiple band types. If this helps and you’re leaning towards yes, do it. Take the risk like you would a card pack and see what you get. You may pull yourself a holo Charizard! ... show more

I thought this Watch would be at least in good condition, even though I knew it was a refurbished item. Unfortunately, it was not worth the $415 at all. The overall condition was terrible. There were scratches everywhere, and the frame and band were very dirty. What really disappointed me was the back glass. It was heavily scratched, which is completely unacceptable, especially for a device that stays in constant contact with your skin. This clearly shows a lack of proper refurbishment or quality control. It honestly felt like someone wore this watch for a long time and then simply resold it without proper refurbishment. Moreover, the charger was also very disappointing. It looked cheap and low quality, like something you would buy from a street stall, not an original or reliable Apple accessory. I do not recommend buying this. I returned it immediately after opening the box and seeing its condition. I wasn’t even interested in activating it. ... show more

Got a perfect watch with100% battery health. Excellent finish and I also 6 months Apple care+ with this Renewed Premium watch. Which make this super awesome deal. The only problem was non genuine band but when i report this issue Amazon gave me discount.

    • Meets the spec, just barely. Some scratches, 90% battery life.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 came in pretty good condition, but it is basically as stated. There are scratches but only visible up close. The battery life came at 90%. The band and charger are aftermarket, not original. No original box either. I'm honestly a little disappointed at the quality but given that there's a one year return period, that makes up for it I suppose. Still, the watch functions great and I still enjoy it. Just feels like it was slightly less worth the money. I had purchased an excellent condition during Black Friday from Amazon and that came in better condition than this "Premium" one. Even the battery was at 100% life, but decided to switch to the silver watch compared to the black one. In the end, yeah it's pretty good but don't be surprised if the watch barely meets the specs defined. ... show more

Value wins again, my watch came as advertised, battery is at 100%. if you want an Ultra watch, I recommend the investment. also, condition is near perfect. I save hundreds being frugle.

    • For a renewed product it’s spot on!!
I took the gamble and purchased a renewed Ultra 2 I-watch. I purchased the premium and yes it is flawless so far. I had an issue with syncing the watch to my phone and after 12 attempts, I called Amazon support. The Assistant was more than willing to assist me and handed me off to Apple Support. What ever you do, if Apple tells you to factory reset your phone, they do not know what they are doing. Yeah, it really made my phone a mess, got disconnected and had to call back Apple Support. The second Assistant, was very apologetic, said that I didn’t need to reset the phone, and he had me going in 10 minutes. The watch itself is very useful if you’re healthy conscious, it lets you know where you’re at as far steps, and other vitals. The screen is nice and clear and very legible. I purchased the Ocean band and it’s very comfortable to wear. The battery so far is doing well and if I make some adjustments ,I should be able to get more life out of it. I really like the mag charging feature, because it can charge with my phone on my night stand. The weight of the watch is not too bad and doesn’t sit too high off my wrist. Should have made this purchase a while ago because I really enjoy using the watch rather than my phone now. Whatever your decision, make sure your apps are up to date and if you need to call Apple Support, question them if you need to do a reset. ... show more
