I purchased this iPhone 8 Plus because I wanted a home button and this was the last plus phone Apple made with a home button. The phone looks like new—-absolutely no scratches or marks on it. And it works like a new phone. But the battery health was only 75% and Amazon had promised at least 80%. I contacted the seller, Avant Solutions. They very promptly contacted me and gave a credit towards the cost of a new battery. I was very pleased with their quick resolution of the problem. I am glad to recommend them. I would be glad to order from them again.

This refurbished iPhone 8 came without a scratch. Virtually impossible to tell it had ever been used. Unfortunately, unlike the product description promised, the battery capacity was only at 72% (see screen shot) instead of 80% or over. A. We battery costs $49, so I reached out to Amazon who reached out to the seller (Avant Solutions) to see if they would refund me the $49. To Avant’s credit, they responded almost instantaneously, and offered to pay $25 toward the battery (couldn’t pay whole $49 because “the phone is refurbished“). And although that conflicts with the product description guarantee… for ease and time savings, I went ahead and accepted the $25. Other than that, it was a perfect transaction and the phone has been working swimmingly. And why did I buy an iPhone 8 this late in the game, you ask?… well… Other than the fact that it was under $300, it’s because it was the last iphone Apple sold with a home button and fingerprint ID, in a plus size. I love it!

So today I got my new iPhone 8 Plus from this seller.. I’m so super thankful an happy for the reasonable cost an the speedy shipping and delivery.. I am an have been a iPhone user for many years.. I previous had the 7 plus that I replaced the 8 with.. I can say that this phone is much faster then my previous phone,, more GB, an I’m stoked about the faster processor. I was tore in replacing my old beat up fatithful 7 plus.. but recently it had sustained major damage to the screen.. but before that I had issues in it being slow and not enough storage space.. so I would like to humbly Thank everyone for such a great phone.. I paid more $ for an exceptional value iphone 8 Plus. The item description says the battery will have a maximum capacity of 80% or greater and mine showed up with 74%. To me, this is not exceptional condition. The outward appearance is satisfactory but battery life is key and this one doesn't live up to Amazon's promise. I need this phone now so I can't take the time to send it back for replacement. What is Amazon willing to do to make up the difference to me? I have a iPhone cover in my cart I would like and am willing to accept that as compensation.

Update: contacted seller and they sent a return label to return/exchange the phone. Will update on the replacement to see if battery life is better. Phone looks great, no scratches, marks - looks brand new. But the battery health is 75% and has a message that the health is significantly degraded. Normally used phones guarantee 80% or better. That is disappointing as I will have to replace the battery soon.
