I decided I needed a new phone when the camera on my 6S stopped working. I didn't want to sign a contract, but I also didn't want to shell out $600+ for a new iPhone. I knew that I would be going out on a limb purchasing a refurbished iPhone. Because my current phone is still functional, I knew that if there were issues with the phone I was sent, I would be ok with sending it back if it didn't work. I purchased and iPhone 7 and it came in beautiful condition. Honestly it barely looked used and there were no scratches anywhere on the phone. The seller even installed a screen protector which was a thoughtful touch. They also sent a charging cable and plug which honestly work better than the plugs and cables I am currently using. I see a lot of complaints in the reviews about "non-apple accessories" but they tell you this in the description! I restored the phone from a backup, which took a while since I also had to download the most current version of IOS. I had some issues with my headphones not working, and then the camera not taking photos, and then the receiver not producing any sound. I spent some time chatting with Apple and they agreed it was a hardware issues because we tried all the software fixes and nothing helped. The issue would resolve itself after a restart, but only for a few hours or less. I arranged an exchange through amazon to get another phone from the same seller. The seller was responsive and apologetic and sent me a new phone right away. This phone was even more pristine than the first. It worked ok for half a day, but then when I was out driving with my kids, I noticed it was out of service for 30 minutes, and the phone said that it needed a critical network update. Once I was home I connected to wifi, clicked the link that the phone had given me...which said that i needed to take the phone to an apple store for repair. I did some research and it seems that there was a manufacturing issue on many of the iPhone 7s that had this error that would need a hardware repair. I checked my device and sure enough I was one of the affected units. Yes I was annoyed because I just couldn't catch a break, but I was willing to put in the work because I saved over $200 by purchasing a refurbished phone. I know they guarantee 80% or so battery health and this phone was at 96% which is great. When I took it into apple they also told me that the phone wasn't even a year old, which is crazy! It's literally only 8 months old. But the tech did tell me that the iPhone 7 is basically the lemon of the iPhone family, but I couldn't shell out the money for the 8. So Apple currently has my phone and will send it back in 14+ business days. Not ideal, but my current phone works and I'm ok to wait. I am guessing the tests that they run are diagnostic and they do a physical check for any damage...but both of the issues I had would likely be unnoticed during any of their diagnostics as these issues do not present themselves during the diagnostic tests. The seller was really helpful, accommodating and apologetic...which helps me to overlook these issues as I honestly don't know how they could have possibly known the issues I would have with these phones.

My child loves it!! All her friends and cousin have phones so since she’s been asking. I thought, why not get her an unlocked phone, she’s a kid after all, not fully responsible. The phone was delivered earlier than expected, it looked new, however the battery life wasn’t the best. Also, while playing games on it, there’s no sound even if the volume was turned up all the way, which we thought it was weird, even after closing the app.
