    • Sold a locked phone
A SMART phone has several types of locks. In order to get into a device there is one type of lock, usually a passcode that is set on the phone, for example, IPhone has a lock put into it by Apple iOS. The way to get around this would be to perhaps wipe the phone entirely. Another 2nd lock is put on by the carrier (the cell phone service provider). This was labeled a Verizon phone but it was locked and neither the seller nor the Verizon tech support was able to unlock it. I feel itโ€™s a deceptive practice to sell a phone labeled as linked to a carrier but locked. This is often the case with black market or stolen phones.
