Description
The iPhone 13 features a 6.1-inch (155 mm) display with Super Retina XDR OLED technology at a resolution of 2532×1170 pixels and a pixel density of about 460 PPI with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and Dolby Vision HDR. Additional features include a dual-camera system, consisting of a 12MP F1.6 wide-angle and another 12MP F2.4 ultra-wide camera with True Tone flash and lens correction. Both rear cameras have larger sensors with improved light sensitivity and Dolby Vision HDR video recording, but only digital zoom and no optical zoom. The front-facing ultra-wide camera is a 12MP F2.2 one. The iPhone 13 video recording supports 4K videos at 60fps as well as 1080p video at up to 240fps. Although my iPhone 6S Plus still works just as well as when I first bought it, it cannot connect to Airtag 2nd generation in the Find My app, so I wanted to get an updated iPhone to use modern Airtags (2nd gen), the Find My app, and the Apple Podcasts app, which has a fantasic auto-generated transcripts feature. I originally got a Renewed/Refurbished iPhone 12, but the battery life was disappointing when compared to iPhone 6S Plus. I paid a few bucks more and upgraded to the iPhone 13 Renewed Premium. It was really worth it! A renewed premium/refurbished iPhone 13 has everything you need for a modern smartphone in 2026: 1. One-year warranty/return period with Amazon. It came with a checklist and a list of all the refurbished/replacements done to the device in the Service History in the About screen on the iPhone. I got 100% battery life since the battery and logic board were replaced. 2. It can run iOS 26, which has a lot of cool, quality-of-life features compared to my iPhone 6S Plus: MagSafe wireless charging, StandBy mode to turn it into a desk calendar/clock screen when horizontal and charging with MagSafe, Category grouping in Mail, Face ID unlock is quick and easy to set up and is blazing fast unlocking the iPhone. 3. The 6.1-inch screen and power button did have hairline scratches, but they disappear with a screen protector and a case, so I don't mind. The display still looks great for 60 Hz! I do not play games on my smartphones, so I don't care about it. The only negatives: 1. iPhone 13 is heavier and thicker than the iPhone 12. 2. I don't think the camera focus of either back lens is as sharp as the iPhone 6S Plus. It takes a long time to focus, especially for close-up shots, and boke is not reliable. I am hoping to keep it for another 5 years, as I trust the quality of Apple and its refurbishment partners.

Bought what was supposed to be Amazon Renewed Certified Excellent IPhone 13. Was that an absolute lie!! Got the phone and the battery was dead completely, then it won’t stay on longer than 10 minutes!! Shows fully charged but once the charger is removed it just shuts off after no more then 10 minutes, sometimes sooner or immediately even though it shows battery left. When it does decide to stay on the battery goes dead in 30-40 min not even using it. That’s not even the worst part…yeah, it gets even worse!! It literally has NO/ZERO volume. The speakers have major issue! It won’t ring, won’t make any sound when playing videos or music but will randomly make a noise if you mess with the volume adjustment in the menu or if you flip the side volume lock a bunch! Randomly will make a quick sound then it goes right back to mute mode!! I bought a mute phone without knowing or intending to. It absolutely will not make sound or ring when you need or want it to but sure will just randomly spit a sound out for a millisecond!! Get this though, it will ring when called off FaceTime, then if I don’t use Bluetooth earbuds people can’t hear me when I answer or call somebody. Literally not a peep. This was supposed to be an Excellent condition Amazon Renewed IPhone according to this sellers listing!! Guess that tells you what kind of person this is selling people lies and garbage apple products claiming to be Amazon Renewed…so my opinion is steer clear from buying any electronics from this one!! Now I requested a return after paying $293.57 for this junk and basically the seller wanted me to send them images/proof the phone wasn’t working. Had to contact Amazon to get a return approved then the seller had the nerve to offer me a 10% partial refund to keep this junk phone. The nerve!! 10%?? After having the phone a few weeks and getting by with it how it is because I went a month without a phone after my previous IPhone was stolen! This was the replacement and I had to save to get it, a month without a phone is terrible and like I lost a hand…I was excited to finally get this phone and have totally dreaded sending this one back, waiting for it to be received, then wait on refund and then hope to find another phone and purchase it, then wait for it to ship, receive it and activate it. I’d be weeks again without a phone. I pondered this and drove myself nuts worrying about not having my phone again. This brought me hesitantly to the conclusion that I’ll get a partial refund and keep it…then when I can get it fixed or fix it myself and not be without a phone. After I decided this I contacted the seller and explained this and asked for 20% partial refund which would help pay for the repairs not even a small portion of what I’m sure it will actually cost me plus the headaches but 20% is all! I got a message back within a few hours and was told NO!! Said 10% is most they will refund! After all the inconvenience headache and stress this purchase has caused me this “uuuuggghhhhh!!” (Sure you know what that says) doesn’t even have the decency to give me $57 back on a garbage phone I paid $300 for! SO, PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND MY OPINION AND STEER FAR AWAY AN CLEAR Of THIS SELLERS ELECTRONIC STORE OR ANYTHING THEY SELL! SCAMMER in my book and I sincerely hope this review helps somebody else avoid going through anything even remotely like my experience with this seller because the listing sure sounded convincing. But got convinced to buy trash for $300 and a terrible overall experience and a self who has zero compassion, sympathy or morals. 20% was super reasonable to me, I was gonna ask for 50% because that’s about how much of a working IPhone. Needless to say the Phone is getting returned now! They have scorned me and I’m almost to the point of never buying from Amazon again period because they will not help me other then forcing seller to accept return…no compensation for time, stress, inconvenience or losses concurred for being without my phone again. This was a gift for our daughter on her 13th birthday, her first phone. The battery health was 95 percent, the body of the phone looked new, and it has worked perfectly for her so far. It was packaged well and shipped fast. The charge cord it came with was generic, but it works. The only reason I am rating it 4 stars rather than five is that the screen had a rather large smudge scratch. Fortunately, once a screen protector was placed on it, the scratch became difficult to see. Given that you pay more for a renewed premium product, I just don’t think the phone’s condition quite meets the promised standard. Even so, overall we are pleased with the purchase so far, and our daughter is happy with the phone. We may go the renewed premium route for our next child when he gets old enough because of this experience.

We were thrilled with this phone at a price of around $300. We paid more for renewed premium as we wanted the best chance of a good battery. The battery in this used phone appeared to be brand new as it reported a full 100% battery life. The rest of the phone was flawless with no dents or scratches. If I did not know it was used, I would have thought it was brand new. It was unlocked as claimed and easy to set up with our service using the eSIM. Fantastic phone. Very tempted to order more.

Reason for only 3 stars. I ordered renewed excellent but I would personally consider this to be in the acceptable range. The screen has been polished so hard that it is no longer a piece of flat glass and it won't accept a screen protector. There are at least two deep gouges in the metal housing and the battery is at 86% capacity. That mean i'm 6% away from a permanent slow down, $90 at an Apple authorized repair facility to fix that. Reason I am happy to have it. The price is right, cheaper than going to a local shop and getting gouged on a used phone. It functions as expected, everything. There does not seem to be any non-apple parts installed, there is no data for the replacement parts under setting -> general like you will see if you replace the screen with a third party part. It's easy to be happy as well, personally, because I had to revert back to the iphone 11 with a seriously degraded battery so jumping up to the 13 is a relief from pain (the pain of using a seriously slow phone).
