This phone was sold and advertised as Refurbished – Excellent condition, which implies a fully functional device with no critical defects. Shortly after setup, the phone began displaying the warning: “Liquid detected in the Lightning connector – charging not available.” As a result, the phone cannot be reliably charged via cable. This is a serious functional defect and is absolutely inconsistent with an “Excellent” refurbished classification. This issue appeared under normal use. A device sold as Excellent should not trigger liquid detection errors that disable charging. Amazon has requested a return, but this is not feasible in my situation. The phone was delivered to the USA and then forwarded internationally to Sint Marteen Island. I am no longer in the United States, and no workable international return or replacement solution has been offered. I also now have essential personal and professional data on this device. Because of this, I am left with a phone that does not meet the condition it was sold under and no realistic way to return it. Well, after a couple of months of use, I can honestly say that this refurbished iPhone is doing a great job. Updates are coming through, battery life is good, everything is running smoothly! I'm still working on the learning curve now and then after switching from an Android, but I'm getting the hang of most things and finding settings to adjust a few things more to my liking. The camera works well and the screen is nice and bright and crisp. I am hopeful that I will get many years of use from this phone, even though it was a refurbished item. As far as the quality of this product goes, the outside case, screen and buttons all looked absolutely brand new when it arrived (see photos). The packaging was really good as well. I've got a protective case and screen protector installed to try and make sure the condition isn't compromised. Everything works great. I've used this phone connected to my 2022 Rav4 and the onscreen app works well to project the phone onto the screen display in the car. Bluetooth connectivity works great. My only gripe is that the volume doesn't seem to adjust loud enough for some things (most ringtones/notification tones aren't loud enough for me), but I have figured out how to manage things so that isn't much of an issue.
