I needed a personal mobile phone and wanted an iPhone 12 Pro. Found exactly what I wanted in the Pacific Blue color via the Renewed Premium offering. The phone arrived in five days. It was in near-new condition. Just a few tiny dings around the edges. The screen was immaculate. I slapped a screen protector on its face, a camera protector on the lenses, and a case around it and was good to go. Connected easily to Wi-Fi and found I could charge the battery to 100%. After a couple weeks I finally set up wireless service this morning. Popped in a SIM card, got my new phone number, and connected to both cellular and wi-fi when I arrived home. The call quality is excellent, app downloading and text messaging seamless, and everything works just as it should. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I've never bought an unlocked, refurbished phone before. Felt comfortable doing so via the Amazon Renewed Premium program. It was worth paying more for peace of mind, in my opinion. Will report back later this year after I've used this phone for several months. [EDIT: I've now been using the phone for nearly a year. I couldn't be more pleased with it if I had purchased it brand new from Apple. Am delighted with this Amazon Renewed purchase.]

HAD ASSISTANCE SETTING UP AND TRASFERING DATA FROM OLD PHONE SAMSUNG J7 WITH HELP OF SALES REP AT LOCAL T-MOBILE STORE. 99% OF PROGRAMS, DATA AND PHOTOS WERE TRANSFERED. ONCE COMPLETED TRANSFER, CUSTOMIZING TO MY PERSONAL SETTINGS WAS FAIRLY EASY. PHONE IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO HOLD. MUCH LOUDER THAN MY OLD PHONE. SCREEN MAKES TEXTING EASIER TOO AS LETTERS AND NUMBERS JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY FINGERS. SCROLLING IE FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE, ECT. IS REAL SMOOTH. PICTURES ARE EXCELLENT IN THE PHOTO ALBUMS. I did receive my item very quickly,I did have issues with it when I first bought it. I had difficulty hearing when I received or tried to call someone using the phone. I did . contact customer support. They sent a link for me to contact Apple as they were the manufacture. Apple did set me up with an appointment to have it checked out. They did fix the sound issue but also told me I had faulty microphone.. so evidently everything is not exactly checked out to make it like new when you buy a renewed phone. This was the second 12 Pro that I bought through Amazon Amazon. The first one I sent right back.. On that note, I do like the phone. I think I will try out my phone for a bit to see if I have any more issues before I see if I need to send it back , it does have a warranty . I did buy an OtterBox case for it which I like really well.. I hope this helps anyone that is looking for a phone.

This is my third purchase of a renewed iPhone from the Amazon Renewed Store. They are such a great value compared to a new phone. My latest purchase looked brand new, and had 96% of its original battery capacity, suggesting that the battery had been replaced in the renewal process since iPhone 12 Pro production stopped 4 years ago. Included in the box were a charging cord (USB C to Fire) and a SIM card tray tool. It took less than 30 minutes to mirror the data and apps from my older iPhone 12 Pro to the new one via WiFi. I kept my previously-purchased iPhone 12 Pro to use as a mobile hotspot (I live in a rural area without broadband). It is still working fine except that the side button no longer functions after 2 years of daily hard use in my *very* dusty environment (no protective case). There are easy workarounds for the lack of side button (power off with Siri or in Settings; power on by plugging into charger; update or install apps with a change in Settings), but I retired my iPhone 8 hotspot (still working flawlessly after being purchased from the Amazon Renewed Store 6 years ago) because it no longer is supported by the current iOS, making it incompatible with some updated apps that I use heavily (e.g., Substack). Listen to the Andrew Yang podcast "The Hidden Cost Of Your 'Free' Phone" to get an idea of how much money you save by buying a refurb.

So, I needed a new phone and I wanted to help the world, that's why buying a renewed PREMIUM iphone sound like a good idea. But no, it wasn't. Generally speaking, the iphone works fine (I've had it for 4 days, tough). Today I had to make a phone call and I just realized that it's not working. I can only talk and hear through the speaker option. I can't have a normal phone conversation without everyone hears it. That sucks! I contacted Amazon and the only option they gave me was to return and refund, which wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't in Peru (only UPS pick ups!). So, I'm kinda stuck with an iphone that doesn't work completely. Good luck I bought the Premium one, huh... The box comes with several information about the iphone you just bought and how an amazing world citizen you are for buying a refurbished item. One card is a 20-Point Inspection - Test Certificate, which has a checklist of the things they've checked before you luckily buy it. It seems like the Tester checked everything but he wasn't smart enough to make a f** phone call. So, you want to buy refurbished items? That's fine. Just don't be an international customer.

On its face this doesn’t seem like the best financial decision if you’re someone who likes to stretch your dollars. At $600+ in 2023 for an iPhone 12 Pro you’re within striking distance of a new iPhone 13 and beyond the price of a new iPhone 14 mini. A couple things make the deal though - first, a year of satisfaction guarantee - which is a weak but useful coverage against anything that might go wrong or even if you have a change of heart (apple doesn’t offer anything like it). Additional coverage on a 3 year old phone is a no brainer, and I personally opted for damage insurance which is notably cheaper than apple care. What’s more you get a cable and a charger in the box, which is an extra cost from apple on a new phone. Beyond that, if you’re using a prime membership and a prime card, you may get a huge rebate on your phone at checkout - mine was almost $100. It’s a great deal. So what’s the phone like? You get what you pay for. My new to me iPhone is indistinguishable from a new new iPhone. Battery health shipped at 91% (it arrived only 5% charged), which is what was promised and what I expected. The screen, bezel and back glass are also unblemished. I got exactly what I was hoping for and I won’t hesitate to use the premium renewed service again in the future. Couldn’t be happier.

This is an initial review based on no technical knowledge. The phone was bought as a gift and arrived well packaged, and quickly. I have no impulse control, so the phone/package was immediately presented to the recipient and opened. Phone and a new, generic 3 foot cord were in the box. The color, of the phone and on the screen when turned on, is fabulous, just as it should be. The phone itself is in excellent condition. After it has been thoroughly checked and tested for functionality a new review will be written. For today, quick, superficial assessment - this was a great purchase and I know where my next phone is coming from.
