I was so excited when my iPhone 11 Pro arrived because I’d been hobbling along on my old broken iPhone for over a month trying to keep it functioning until this new one was shipped and delivered. I knew I had signed up for a longer wait because I picked the Renewed Premium option to guarantee a higher battery life percentage and to have a longer warranty so the wait was fine when I believed it would be worth it. Upon arrival I spent hours getting everything turned on, set up, and transferred over to the new phone only to insert my SIM card and find out it wasn’t working. I went back and forth for days with my service provider thinking maybe my old SIM card just had a problem with the new iPhone. They inserted a new SIM card, reset the cellular connection, and restarted the phone several times trying to find the problem only to verify that it was my long awaited iPhone that was the problem. This phone would not read the SIM card and when it occasionally would, it’d briefly pick it up after restarting and would shut back down within 5 minutes. What phone is tested and sold as certified to work through not just a refurbished guarantee but through the Amazon Premium Renewed program and it can’t even do the main function as a phone?? I can’t call or text without wifi so I guess I’m just going to keep jumping charger to charger with my old iPhone that CAN at least call and text until I can get another working phone shipped in. I’m so upset I can’t even give it two stars from wasting my time and money on a iPhone that can’t function any more than an iPod. Gotta say though, the battery life was a perfect 100 and all other settings seemed to be imperfect order, which only made my disappointment heavier because this could’ve been a perfect upgrade. Luckily, it’s still within the return window so I guess I’ll try reviewing an iPhone again in a couple months🙃 I’m currently attempting to return this phone or possibly exchange it for another (I don’t know if I want to try waiting another month again for an uncertainty) but I’ll update this with a review on the customer service and process. ... show more

    • Used as an international travel phone
My dad, who does frequent international travel, has mulitple foreign country SIM cards. He used to have multiple "burner" phones for each country he traveled, but that got expensive and also cumbersome. He wanted an unlocked, full featured iPhone, but didn't want to pay the price of a brand new i13. This i11 Max has good screen size, good resolution, good cameras and a good processor. It's not blazing fast or has the highest megapixels like the current gen, but it's good enough... and it has 256 GB of memory. When foreign country SIM cards were inserted, the phone recognized it and we were able to do test texting (foreign country voice rates are really high!) with no problem. The phone had very few scratches and the screen was scratch free. If you didn't look closely, you'd think it was new. I recommend the extended warranty if you are local (US based), but if you are international, you will probably have cheaper repair costs over seas. ... show more

I needed a phone but didn't want to spend $1,000. I did some research and settled on the I-phone 11, quite an upgrade from my I phone 6S plus! It arrived carefully packaged, with super easy instructions to transfer over my existing phone data, a tool to remove the sim card from my previous phone, and a charging cable.
