The Help Desk assistant made me buy a $100 card in order for me to receive a credit on my account for an undeliverable package and once done asked for the pin number which i gave. He advised I needed to purchase another $100 as the $100 was not sufficient to cover the money which needed to be refunded, which I did. He told me the first card is DEFECTIVE and that I need to purchase another $100 card which I did. He again asked for the PIN and then told me I needed to purchase a third card as the first one was defective and in order to receive my credit I needed to have gift cards to the value of $200.After spending 55 minutes on the line from South Africa ( @cost of US$59) I refused to buy a third card as something did not seem right.I told him he had inconvenienced me and insisted that someone contact me which never happened.This is a disgrace and is giving Amazon a bad reputation. I entered the pin of the second Gift Card and it said that had already been downloaded. The undeliverable order had a value of $250 and I have still not received anything and I am still waiting for someone to contact me to explain what this is all about.

I ordered an apple gift card for a friend in Amazon asked me to put his email address I did but the problem when Amazon sent it to his email address, he couldn’t get the code numbers on the gift card because he had to sign into his Amazon account, he doesn’t have an Amazon account so I asked them to send me the information to my phone number. And I spent an hour with them on the phone trying to get all this corrected and it wasn’t corrected and now I’m out $50 because Amazon will not take the card and the product actually was never delivered because the guy was unable to use it because he doesn’t have an account now I know this item usually is not refundable but under this circumstances, the card can’t be used they could’ve canceled the transaction. Sent the money back to me and then I could’ve just bought a regular gift card instead of a virtual card. He just wouldn’t have got it as soon but why in the world would I spend more money when they don’t wanna take care of me on the first one? I’ve never been so irritated in my life I’ve been with Amazon for years and years and years. It has never been treated like this.
