Apple didn’t disappoint. The AirPods Max fit beautifully and seamlessly into the Apple echo system. Surprisingly, the comfort and the sound are both highlights. For the weight of them, one would assume that they would create fatigue. But what I realized is that the exceptional build quality create the weight which doesn’t compromise the longevity of wear. The automatic switch between multiple Apple devices is super convenient and intuitive. The buttons are simplistic and useful. I’m glad that Apple didn’t opt for swipe technology over physical buttons. Not everything needs to be future focused. The sound is excellent. They are definitely high end and deliberately tuned. The bass is tight and punchy without being overwhelming and the mids and highs flow together and are not screechy or abrasive. They handle all genres of music fairly and clearly. The battery life is pretty good as well. They last a few days with roughly eight hours per sitting listen. The ANC and Transparency modes are what I can only describe as perfect. The microphones are super clear and phone calls are clear as well. So far I’m pretty impressed.

I’ve always been a Bose guy, with three different versions of their over-ear noise-canceling headphones under my belt, and I’ve loved them all. But I bought the Apple AirPods Max in gold for my wife, and now I’ve got to admit—I have headphone envy. These are simply AMAZING. The sound quality is out of this world, rich and balanced across all ranges. The active noise cancellation is top-tier, easily the best I’ve ever experienced. The quality of construction feels incredibly premium—top-shelf materials everywhere you look. The fit is also excellent: comfortable for long sessions without pinching or pressure, which is rare for over-ears. Connectivity is seamless with Apple devices—fast, intuitive, and hassle-free every single time. Battery life is strong, lasting around 20 hours, which is more than enough for long travel days or extended listening sessions. And while I picked up the gold version (which my wife loves), I have to say the other colors look extremely cool as well. They travel well, they’re intuitive to use, and honestly, there just aren’t enough superlatives for these headphones. I "borrow" them every chance I get.

These are premium headphones and they sound amazing. They have great ANC and are super comfortable. They pair perfectly with the Apple ecosystem, and while they are a little pricey, the build quality and experience make them worth it.

My son got AirPods Max for his birthday, and honestly, they've transformed those road trips completely. The active noise cancellation is genuinely impressive. Highway noise, other passengers talking, the constant drone of traffic—all of it just disappears. He can actually focus on music, podcasts, or audiobooks without that exhausting mental effort of filtering out background noise. After six hours in the car, that makes a real difference in how tired he feels arriving at tournaments. The comfort factor surprised me. I expected headphones that expensive to be finicky about fit, but these settle onto his head naturally without requiring constant adjustment. The padding feels luxurious without being hot or sweaty, which matters during warm car rides. He'll wear them for hours without complaining about discomfort or ear fatigue—something cheaper headphones never managed. Transparency mode is genuinely useful.
