As a mother of a pre-teen, these magically disappear ALL THE TIME. Unfortunately, even though Apple updated their charging port on the model 15 series and beyond, that isnt the case with their iPads, so we still have to have the "old style" chargers to accommodate our iPads and the keyboards to them, as well as the Apple mice that go to our Mac computers. They charge fast and my husband and I prefer the woven material for the cord over the plastic / rubbery material on the ones that typically come WITH your Apple products. As someone who reviews cables as a hobby, I’ve tested everything from budget options to high-end builds, and Apple’s cables consistently set the standard for quality. You’re paying a premium, but in return, you get a cable that lasts significantly longer than most third-party alternatives—at least under normal use. On the test bench, I put this cable through a series of stress tests to see how much physical strain it could handle before failure. The woven outer layer does an excellent job reinforcing the cable, and in a direct pull test, it withstood around 63 lbs of tension before showing signs of internal failure (phone started to disconnect)—far more than the average plastic-coated cables that often snap at 20-30 lbs. However, the real weak point isn’t the cable itself but the connectors. If you frequently use the cable at a hard 90-degree angle, particularly near the USB-C ends, you’ll start to see wear much sooner than expected. The strain relief at the connector isn’t quite robust enough to handle constant bending under load. Overall, if you’re looking for a well-built, durable cable that can take a lot of general wear and tear, this is an excellent choice—just be mindful of how you position the connectors during use. If you’re constantly charging devices while using them at awkward angles, you might want to consider a cable with reinforced angled connectors instead. ... show more

I like the quality of Apple’s new charger cables, but I hate the length. I think this cord is good for in the car but I had to buy longer cords for in the house. I like the braided style they went with instead of the cheap rubber insulation they used in the lightning cable.
