This is one of my favorite candles. It was a blind buy - I took the plunge solely based on customer reviews. I’m sure glad I did. It really does smell like deep and smoky burnt marshmallow. The throw is strong and actually gave me a headache the first or second time I burned it - it’s really potent. That eventually subsided thankfully because I love the scent so much. The candle smells amazing. This is literally my favorite smelling candle, and I’ve smelled a lot of candles. There are some tunneling issues, and I’ve also had some wax imperfections and wicks that burn dirty, but with how great the smell and overall throw of the candle I’ve kept coming back. Unfortunately, the customer service experience isn’t great. As long as you don’t have any quality or shipping issues you should be good to go, but if you need to interact with Apotheke you’ll likely be dissatisfied. ... show more

Very nice packaging. Candle looks great, burns well, and great fragrance. However, there appears to be quite a lot of black soot accumulating above it, like on the ceiling. It's not easy to clean. I'm not sure I can continue to use this. Unfortunate since everything else about it is so good. I don't know why it's doing that and emailed the company asking about the issue but have not heard anything back from them. Use with caution ... show more

I was never much into scented candles before, mainly because I do not have a particularly keen sense of smell, but ever since I bought a candle warmer lamp, which significantly increases the throw of most candles, in my opinion, I've been searching for a earthy, smokey, masculine scented candle.
