This light is very versatile, which makes it more useful than some others I've had, but it's not something you'll want to have to move around often. I like that for recording video from your computer's camera (or live online meetings), you can put it in an upright position and it lights up your face AND body, so you don't look like a floating head. Having it in the horizontal position works well when I'm taking photographs of products I'm reviewing. I like that I can also tilt it in those situations. Love that you can use it on the tripod or clip it to the laptop, or anything else you need to. (It did NOT work well with my Apple Cinema Display, because the thickness of the monitor made it difficult to clip it on, plus the back is curved a bit, but the ad states that it won't work with those kinds of situations.) There are several levels of brightness and ambient color to choose from, so it's nice to be able to adapt to different situations. The tripod is easy to maneuver, and offers so many choices of angles and heights. A few things I'm not wild about: it's much larger than a "selfie light" so it's not something you can stick in your pocket, but the versatility of this light is a fair trade for that portability issue. Another thing is the control buttons being on the cord - that's massively inconvenient. Would've much rather had a remote control. The fact that it has to be plugged in to work, too, is inconvenient sometimes, especially when it's draining power from your computer battery because you can't reach a plug for the computer. Would've rather had a rechargeable battery so it's not tied to the wall or my device. And it also would've been nice if a brick to plug it in was provided, but I'm guessing those last two things would raise the cost too much to make it a good value. ... show more

I got these lights to make me look beautiful when I’m on a zoom call. Yes, I know, I was expecting a lot out of these lights! OK, so they didn’t work quite how I intended, but they are still pretty nice little lights. As far as quality, you get what you pay for, and these aren’t that expensive. You don’t get a smooth adjusting tripod, but it works! You don’t get glamour light, but you get light. You don’t have an easy light attachment method, but they still screw in just fine. These will work on a budget, but if you can afford more, and you need more, then it’s probably worth getting something more high quality. ... show more

This is a bright little light, and I love the stand and clip that comes with it. I use it on my laptop to light myself while I'm on video call. It's a nice soft light that keeps me evenly lit, and it's very compact.

Summary In general you get what you pay for in video lights, but this kit punches above its price. The Good You get a solid tripod that can hold the light in multiple orientations. The light itself is bright and renders color well. It's definitely far better than the cheap ring lights you see people using. And at this price it is a good deal. The Bad Well if I were being picky, it is annoying that the controls are on the usb cable. It has a standard usb c connector but if you plug in a regular adapter it simply won't work. That seems odd, why doesn't it have like a "default" mode that comes on when voltage is applied? ... show more

Fits in the compact with limited use "selfie light" category (limited brightness level and color temperature range) but is competitive choice for the flexibility in how you can use the light. As mentioned in title the camera peephole for laptops or self-facing on phone, cold shoe, and 1/4" screw mount. No remote control so manual buttons - turn on/off, up/down based on mode, and switch mode to brightness or color temperature.     • Super versatile
These little lights are super versatile. I get these instead of work lights from the hardware section. Just pop off the defuser and the light is super intense. Good for working on something in the dark. Toss the defuser back on and you have a great little selfie light. Or clip it on your monitor and point is down behind for a handy ambient light while you work on your computer. Seem like a decent quality. Even at it's lowest setting this is a nice bright light. I love the warm setting. The clip itself is padded and quite strong, enough that I hesitate to actually use it to grip onto my laptop screen for fear of causing damage. However, you can tilt the clip into an L-shape and set the light to sit on its clip. The silicone cover is a nice diffuser. ... show more
