Description

The Apex desk Elite series Height adjustable desk distinguishes itself in many ways and is a big bang for your hard-earned buck: ➢ stability – the underframe is constructed with one-piece Center beam for added stability. It is more stable than many desks that have a crossbar. ➢ crossbar-free – it allows more leg room and flexibility of adding an exercise bike/Treadmill by some users ➢ ease of assembly – most users get it up and running in less than 45 minutes, thanks to the screw-less design that uses levers rather than screws to secure beam to the lifting columns ➢ MDF desktop – most desks in our price range are constructed with low-grade particle board. Ours is made of MDF (medium density fiberboard) with anti-scratch, high-pressure laminate – a premium material used primarily in high-end furniture. Featuring European design and engineering, The elite series electric height adjustable desk lets you transform seamlessly from a sitting to a standing position within a matter of seconds with a push of a button. Turn your daily work routine back to how nature intended it to be. Studies suggest alternating from sitting to standing can provide multiple Health benefits and boost productivity!

  • LOVE my new walking/standing desk! It has changed my life!!
Size: 71" Color: Red Apple Top/Black Frame
The media could not be loaded. I spend a LOT of time at the computer editing audio, video, photos and typing and I have a goal to increase my activity levels this year so I thought the easiest way to do it would be to convert my home office into a standing/walking desk setup. After doing a lot of research, I bought this desk (the largest size) and a walking pad (Opps Decor Under Desk Walking Pad/Treadmill) and I have been absolutely LOVING it! Here are some things to know about the desk. It was super easy to assembled but definitely a 2 person job. The desk is VERY sturdy and heavy duty and can power lift anything you put on it smoothly and easily. You can see from my pictures that I have the PC I custom built for heavy video editing, dual 24" LED monitors on a stand, my Xfinity modem, Netgear Nighthawk router, internal hard drive docking station, Logitech speakers, smart phone charging/docking station, card reader, headphone stand, wireless keyboard, mouse and all sorts of misc stuff and I still have plenty of space to work around it all. I definitely recommend the bigger size (71" over 60") if you're in doubt. Once set up, the desk was easy to initialize and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The presets work great and are easy to program. I have one for sitting, one for standing and one for walking. The desk moves very quickly and smoothly and doesn't make me wait forever when I want to changes modes. The color of the desk top that I chose is very nice against all my black peripherals. I love that the desk comes with the option to have the contour in the front or just straight across. I chose the contoured version and I'm glad I did as it's much easier and more ergonomic to use when standing and walking. Cable management is going to be an issue with ANY desk of this type and it certainly is with this one as well. Mine came with the cable management tray which is normally sold separately and I highly recommend you buy it! It's not perfect but DEFINITELY helps with the cables! There are little white cable holds that pop into the tray and they won't stay put for me and keep popping out, but it's not a huge deal. The tray itself is SUPER sturdy and is made of the same metal and with the same finish as the base. BUY IT! Another accessory that I recommend buying if you buy this desk is a wall mount power strip (or two)! When extended to full height, this will lift your traditional ground dwelling power strips off the ground and stretch some cables to their limit unless you have some wall mounted ones. Worth every penny for a desk like this. Some more expensive desks have power strips integrated into the rear of the desk which would be awesome, but certainly nowhere near this price point. Now for things that I wish were better... First, the memory buttons don't work exactly as advertised. One press shows you the programmed height in inches. You're supposed to double press the button you want to move the desk to that height. When I double press the first time, the desk never responds. It's as if the first time wakes the desk up and the second time I double press it will move. This really isn't a big deal because it always does move after the second round, but it is a little annoying that it doesn't operate exactly as it should. Second, the desk top is made of a laminate that is more prone to scratches and dings than other materials. It's no cheap particle board, but for the price I was really hoping for something a little higher quality. Third, if you are a really tall person and you plan to walk under this desk, it might not go high enough for you to be very ergonomically friendly. I am 5'7" and have a walking pad that lifts me an additional 5" off the ground. In order for the desk to come right to my elbows for healthy and comfortable typing posture, I have to extend it to 47". It's upper limit is 49". So if you're taller than about 5'10" and want to use this as a walking desk and your walking pad is 5" or higher, you might need to think twice about this particular desk unless you have really long arms. As a standing only desk, I would imagine it would be fine for anyone about 6'4" or under. A note about walking desks in general: If you plan to walk while working, I would caution against walking and working if you do a lot of writing by hand or drawing that needs to be neat and legible. While typing and computer work are easy while walking (even at a good clip)! my handwriting is ABYSMAL and writing is very difficult while walking. Standing is no problem. Also, for you apple watch users who are hoping to track your steps and workout while walking and working, that is tricky too. It won't work unless you buy an apple watch arm band, and even then it won't track your distance or even your steps accurately because that's dependent on GPS to some degree. Last but not least, if you're planning to switch to a standing desk, I HIGHLY recommend that you streamline your peripherals FIRST and get as much wireless stuff as you can (bluetooth mouse and keyboard etc.) to help with the cable management issues. IN SUMMARY (finally), most desks that do what this desk does, as well as it does it are twice the price, if not 3 or 4 times more, and because I wanted to buy a walking pad as well, I couldn't afford a $3,000 desk right now. I am VERY VERY pleased with this desk for the price (and yes, I PAID FULL PRICE for this desk, it was not given to me for review)! The walking pad I bought was about the same price as the desk so I was able to sell my gym grade elliptical machine and buy both the desk and the walking pad. I easily put double digit miles in each day at my walking desk and it has changed my life! I have already lost 5 pounds and feel better than ever! This desk should be part of your new years resolution if you spend a lot of time at the computer like I do. I ABSOLUTELY recommend it, especially for the price! If this has been helpful, please let me know! ... show more

  • Great battlestation desk with a few drawbacks.
I wanted to upgrade my battlestation to something that can be flexible for work, play, and leisure use throughout the day. And like many of you, I'm rolling my face on the keyboard for most of the day so some standing now and then is important for me. The setup procedure was painless as the legs were already assembled and there were only about 4 compartments that needed to be attached to the desk piece anyway. This really helps for quick assembly and dis-assembly for anyone thinking about moving without worrying about how well the desk will fair through re-assembly, which was very simple to complete. However, after the initial setup I noticed that the electric raiser had an issue, it wouldn't raise or decline. The piece would only make a slight "ticking" sound when trying to operate and customer service went ahead and mailed me a new piece that has been working ever since without an issue. The desk itself is very sturdy. You can climb on top of the desk and raise and lower it without any issue of imbalance or capsizing. (Don't ask why I know this.) However the desk material appears to be some sort of laminate over what I assume to be, pressed wood that gives resistance to scrapes or tapes that could peel away the material and color. And while tape or any sticky material won't be an issue, scrapes can still happen and easily, so be aware of placement and use a mousepad/keyboard pad. Lastly, cable management can be an issue. I have 3 AC adapters, switch, and cables stuck to the bottom side of the desk with double sided velcro adhesives. This has caused some tension between the desks laminate to where it has pulled away from the desk slightly from the extra weight. So I suggest not sticking everything to the bottom of the desk in an effort to reduce cable view. Overall this is a very good desk. And is a cut above any cheap pressed wood ikea build you typically will find making this a great mid tier station. ... show more

  • Extraordinary Value, High Quality
Size: 71" Color: White Top/White Frame
Great Product. I really don't write reviews much anymore. As consumers, we are surveyed and polled at a tiresome, almost intrusive level. BUT, I still read reviews like everyone else :) For me to take the time to write a review, I need to REALLY be impressed. I spend a great deal of time in my Home Office when i am not traveling. I am an executive in charge of personnel working Mass Merchant accounts primarily in the Western US. Before purchasing this product I conducted and intense search. The ApexDesk seemed to be the best VALUE and after receiving and assembling this desk, I am pleased to proclaim the product everything I hoped it would be. I only found one table less expensive but when I looked at it I was left thinking "this table just wont hold up." Most everything else I reviewed was much more expensive. I am working on my ApexDesk as I type this review.... and I am standing..... for the moment. During the day I can raise and lower the working surface to an infinite number of heights that fit my project and mood.. I stand to work 3 to 4 times during my working day and can say altering my position has done wonders for my back and concentration. The legs of this desk are robust, the design of the work surface is curved and is perfect for the way I work. When the table is moving up and down you can here the whir of the motors but not obtrusive at all. The one thing I will mention as a way of caution. This thing is built no last but, it is heavy. Take care when you move it. As I leave you with the main reason I was compelled to write this review. My table top came in damaged from shipping. After assembling the desk, after working hours on the day it arrived, I sent ApexDesk an email around 11p detailing the damage. ApexDesk had a new table top on its way to me the next morning. Made in America and fantastic service! Way to go ApexDesk, Thank You! ... show more
