    • Another Great Scope from a Very Reliable Manufacturer.
I have several scopes from Sniper Brand (Texas Precision Optics, TX, mfg. of this scope, and not Eastern Tactical Supply, seller) and have to say across board, their overall quality is consistent even if per item there are little individual quirks. As to this scope, first off, it is a very long scope. Just about 16 inches. So know that up front and make sure if you have a certain rifle you wanted to mount this on, it will not be oversized for it. Starting with the Red, Green and Blue illuminated color Mil-Dot reticle which is great for color options per individual and sighting conditions it makes for a good feature of this scope. However, the quirk I found at least with the scope in my hands (may not be the same for you) is that the on/off, color selector control knob (also battery compartment) on the left side of the scope is excessively hard to turn. I mean you really have to grab it overly tight to turn it so not to have it slip within your grasp. Maybe, hopefully, this will loosen up in time and use, but for right now it is a real bear to deal with. And it is a real distraction too. I can't imagine being out in the field and losing your trophy shot down range because you spooked it messing with this knob to select the best illumination for him. Outside of that, the eye relief is great, the optic clarity is great, the smooth twist 4-16 zoom control is great, the recital is great, and the pull up quick adjust turrets are precise and easy. The removable protective lens caps are a nice optional feature to have pending your preferences. So this is another great Sniper Brand scope you will be happy with for years to come with makes the price paid less the longer you have it. That is the difference between low cost buy and hold, or high cost buy and replace. This is a keeper scope. ... show more

This is a really nice scope. It is a 4x 16 and has large mounting screws on the rail so it is easy to install. The focus, zoom and parallax are all easy to adjust and feel nice and tight. Image quality is superb, the finish is great. The windage and elevation adjustment controls are easy to use, just pull the cap up to adjust it and then press it back down to lock it in. You can also use the included hex key to pull the caps off to reset the scale to "zero" once you get the scope set to your preference. The scope comes with flip up lens caps which are removable. A sunshade extension is also included which can be screwed onto the end of the scope - the end cap can then be moved to the end of the sun shade. The scope also came with two batteries, the light up reticle can be lit up in red, green or blue in three different intensities for each color. I attached some photos showing the coloring, but it is a bit difficult to take a picture of the reticle through he scope - so those photos are only meant to show the color. Through the scope the uniformity of color and definition of the reticle is great, much better than that shown in my photos. The reticle is a illuminated duplex mil-dot reticle. This Sniper brand optic is remarkable considering its price point. How they can make, ship it and make a profit at this price is beyond comprehension. The focus is smooth and the glass is clear. The reticle is sharp and selectable in color. I would not hesitate to use this for hunting and could serve as an entry level scope for intermediate long range shooting. ... show more

    • Excellent scope for the money!
I really can't think of anything negative to say about this scope. I'm absolutely impressed with it, particularly for it's price. It's solid and sturdy, and it performs great. The glass is clear and I had no issues with fogging, glare, etc... and the image quality is great. The reticle is clearly visible, and sharp, when unilluminated, but is just that much more prominent and visible when you turn on the illumination. It has red, blue, or green illumination. The auto-off feature is a nice touch, to help preserve battery life. Everything about the scope feel solid and of high quality... the windage and elevation knobs have a solid "click" to them, which I appreciate. It mounts solidly to my rifle, and everything feels nice and tight. It's a large scope, so make sure you check the dimensions before ordering to ensure that it fits your rifle. I'm looking forward to using this during hunting season, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you're looking for a good quality, affordable, scope for your hunting rifle.     • Nice quality scope
My husband got to try out this MT4-16X50 AOL Hunting Rifle Scope from Eastern Tactical Supply yesterday. He zeroed it at 25 yards and was accurately hitting targets at 300 yards. He likes it a lot and was impressed with the quality for $120. He didn't have any issues with dust, glare, reflections, or fogging. The scope is 16" long, has a 1.75" eye piece and 2.5" objective. It came with a nice manual. The scope has red, green and blue illuminated color Mil-Dot reticle, along with auto off to save battery life. The windage and elevation dials have a nice feel and clicking sound when adjusting, and he liked how you pull the dial up (or out if on the side) before being able to turn it, then push it back in after adjustments have been made. His only minor complaint is both dials require a screw to be removed before you can make adjustments. He ended up removing the screws and leaving them out so he could more easily make adjustments as needed. Leaving the screws out solves the issue, but allows dust in and the screws to get lost. 4.5 stars ... show more
