  • I'd give it 4.5 if that was an option!!
Style: MT4-12x50AOL
Ok where do I start. For the price this is a steal. The scope is super clear and I was for real shocked at the clarity. Huge selling point here: My gunsmith showed me some $500-$800 variable scopes and this is just as clear as all of them. I even said, dude look through here and tell me if you see a difference, and he agreed. I didnt want to start a debate because honestly this one is clearer than most of the 4 we looked at. I personally like the straight up cross hairs over other Optics for long range. The colors are a bonus and work great but the basic black is really all you need. I'm only shooting at the outdoor range and usually during the day so color isnt necessary. Super solid super quality super well built. Love that the adjustments don't need a tool, just turn it and keep it moving. For the money you can't go wrong and won't be disappointed. Ok, My only reason for a slight .5 doc is the size is crazy big and it has some weight to it. This thing is much larger than I expected but it doesn't bother me, my gunsmith thought it was too big, but I love the sight, and it looks good to me so it's whatever. It does take up a large portion of my picatinny and adds some extra weight to my lightweight build, but it's really a great scope so I can live with that. Would for sure buy again. ... show more

  • Works great, 27 shots in and still accurate
Style: MT4-12x50AOL
Had some issues when I first received it but the seller helped sort them out. This isn’t a bad scope at all for under $100, it is however better than any weaver scope I’ve gotten with any rifle. This has the same quality of a vortex scope without the price of a vortex scope. Normaly after several shots from my 308 my old scope (vortex) would be off up/down by a click or two and wasn’t from barrel warp, this one I’ve shot 27 times and still can make a washer out of a dime at 200 yards. The shade tube that goes on the end of the scope is a HUGE Improvement from the weaver/cvlife/vortex scopes cause this one comes with it and helps out with glare a whole lot. The illuminated crosshairs works great too. All in all this scope is well worth its money and we’ll worth the time sighting it in. I’ve used a few brands of bullet type laser sightsees and had decent luck with them. Side note: Make sure to torque the hex bolts for your rings and the two bolts to your rail to the correct tightness or you won’t be accurate. ... show more

  • well worth the money
Style: MT4-12x50AOL
Mounted the Sniper MT4-12x50AOL on my American Ruger 7.62x39 Ranch. After bore sighting the rifle I was 2" high and 2" right. made a little adjustments and was hitting bullseye at the 50 yard mark. moved out to the 100 yard mark and was 1" high at a 100 yards. Made several more shots and dead on. Optics are very clear and cross hairs are very crisp. Very easy to mount although I used medium scope rings not the higher ones that came with the scope. I highly recommend this scope for it quality and the price of $79.99. I own several other name brand scopes at a lot higher prices and this one runs a tight race. I defiantly will purchase another one. ... show more

  • DEFINITELY WORTH IT! PICTURES DO NOT JUSTIFY
Style: MT4-12x50AOL
The media could not be loaded. Definitely happy with my purchase heavy duty. Very good quality bright illumination. Seriously going to buy more of these pictures. Do not justify it on the ad lighter is in picture for comparison also set it on top of my AR to show how long it is but mounted it to my 1929 Mauser 7 x 57 mm. Archangel precision stock. Very very nice and very happy would give it 10 stars if I could. ... show more

  • This Sniper is Svelte Like a Viper and Better than the Pied Piper
Style: LT4-16x50AOL
I already have the Sniper NT4-16X50AOGL version of this scope and upon receiving this one, I really can’t tell much of a difference between them other than the knurling on the knobs is slightly different and this model, this one has a different method to lock and adjust the turrets, and this one is a full fifty Washingtons less in price. The build quality and optical clarity on this optic is quite nice compared to the substantially more expensive name brand versions. This is a Second Focal Plane style scope with a Mil-Dot reticle, which means that the reticle does not appear to change at all with changes to magnification (it stays the same size as the image around it grows or shrinks). Out of the box this scope is a beast and weighs 24.55-ounces with just the lens covers and scope rings. If you add the included accessories, you’re looking at a hefty 30.3-ounces total. It’s 15-inches long (17.5-inches long with the sunshade installed) with a diameter of 1.5-inches at the eyepiece, and 2-inches at the objective lens. The adjustment turrets work well and have audible clicks for each 1/4” MOA adjustment. The other dials and knobs are smooth without any grainy feeling. The glass is clear and the reticle is sharp. Pros: - The eye-relief on this is pretty good; not great, but not terrible either. You can find a good sight picture anywhere from around 3.9 to 4.3 inches, with approximately 4-inches from the eyepiece being the ideal distance. - The 50mm objective lens allows for an appropriate amount of light to enter without any unnecessary weight or bulk. - It came packaged with two CR2032 batteries, once to use right away, and one to keep as a spare. - The reticle can be fully illuminated in either blue, green, or red and you can adjust the brightness intensity of each color or turn the illumination off completely. This is so much better than some other scopes I have with supposed illuminated reticles that actually have only an illuminated dot in the middle of the reticle. - Tools are not needed for adjustments to the turrets and the turrets do not have any caps. Just unlock the turrets by turning the bezel at the base of each turret, then turn them to the desired position, which have smooth clicks with each 1/4-inch MOA adjustment, and you can then lock them in place by sliding the turret bezels back to the lock position. - It is indicated to be nitrogen-purged and waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof, (but no specific ratings are listed). - Optical clarity is free of distortion, and the sight picture is crisp all the way to the edges. - Hi-rise 1-inch-tall mounting scope rings are included, and it is a 1-inch tube if you decide to use aftermarket rings. Cons (for which I am deducting one star): - The Lens Cover that goes over the eyepiece end is affixed in a manner that the cover’s retaining ring covers the diopter focus ring, which means that the open cover swings around when you focus the scope. I found I sometimes need to pull it off to make proper focus adjustments. - Branding on the housing of the scope is a bit much, with “Sniper” imprinted on both sides of the housing. - The very generic manual is not specific to this model and lists specifications for many of the different models the manufacturer makes, but oddly this scope is not listed. - If you leave the battery in the scope for more than a week, even with the knob turned-off, the battery will drain completely. It is best to store the scope without the battery installed. Once I sighted-in, the scope held zero throughout my testing on both my Maurarder air rifle and Rem 700 short action rifle, and the 50mm objective lens allows for a lot of light to enter the scope. For its current budget price of around a hundred dollars, this is a good deal on a quality high-powered scope. ... show more

  • Holds zero
Style: MT4-12x50AOL
Put this on a Gamo Wildcat Whisper, hi po, 1300' FPS, gas cylinder, break barrel air rifle. Bought for features for price and the shockproof rating, actually listing criteria. Violent double action recoil of this type gun causes lots of scope mounting and reliability issues. Had LOTS of mount shaking loose problems to overcome. But thru it, this scope was never an issue. Now, after about 500 shots, the zero has never budged on this scope. Dime groups at 20y with only a wiggly chair back as front rest, no rear rest. Love the open, up/down lock turrets and the reset zeros on dial option. AOL IS good to 5y. Lit reticle. Probably will buy another for long range .280. Love this scope. ... show more
