This is the second AOC 24E1Q monitor that I bought so that I would have a matching set. I was having trouble with my old AOC monitor when setting up my the new 24E1Q as a second monitor, so I wanted to see if having two of the same would fix it (see end of review for story). I chose the 24E1Q specifically because my graphics card supports multiple Display Port connections. The ultra-thin frame means that it's nearly seamless moving from my primary to my secondary monitor. I'm not a technical expert when it comes to monitors, but I can say that the colors are crisp, it arrived with no burnt out pixels, and it's bright. I do play video games on this monitor (not first person shooters) and I don't notice any latency or lag. It's a nice monitor in my opinion, and it's spoiled me for using my laptop because now I'm used to having all the screen real estate that having two of these sizable monitors side by side affords. I can't speak for tech specs, but I'm certainly happy with them! Story time - Originally, I had an AOC E2429SWHE and had an AOC 24E1Q purchased as a holiday gift for me from a different retailer (I think it was NewEgg?). It arrived with dead pixels and I had to send it back (no good, very happy that the Amazon one came fully functioning right out of the box). The replacement had no dead pixels but the lag using it as a second monitor was something awful; I couldn't even move a blank notepad from one screen to the other smoothly. My tech-savvy boyfriend and I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work, so I disconnected it and deemed that next time I had some spending money I would buy another one to see if having two of them would fix it because then they'd have the same specs. Well, the one I bought from Amazon arrived and it had the same lag problem. Googling around I found that there's an old Windows process called "dwm.exe" that tries to handle multiple displays that looks like it conflicts with how the graphics card tries to handle multiple displays. Several task manager "end process dwm.exe"s later (it kept relaunching itself) and all the latency disappeared! Problem solved! It did change the color scheme into Windows Default, but that's a small price to pay for no latency. Now I'm so spoiled by having two of the same, beautiful monitor that I'm keeping both of them and using my original monitor as a spare (unless I decide that two monitors isn't enough and set it up as a third monitor, haha!). Overall, this is a nice monitor that arrived fully functioning and spoils you with how much screen real estate you have! I'm definitely happy with my purchase.

I really like the look of this monitor. I have had AOC monitors in the past, and have not ever had problems. However this monitor came with the display damaged...probably during shipping. The Amazon team has been great to work with and a replacement is already on its way. I only hope the next one doesn't arrive damaged as well. The build quality is what you would expect from a budget monitor. It tends to wobble a little bit, but that is in part to the table I am using as a desk is not very stable. I would guess that if on a more firm surface, it would not be an issue. I intend to wall mount this monitor anyways. The small border around the monitor is great if you are in line with it, but if you look at the edge from an angle, it appears that the screen is rolling behind it. I tried to take a picture of this, but couldn't. It just resembles the curved edge on a Samsung Infinity Display. Not a deal breaker, as I just use my monitor for work, not gaming. Overall, a great monitor for the price.

No joke, this is now my monitor of choice for setting up new workstations! I have a few simple preferred features and this monitor satisfies all of them. Namely, it is VESA compatible, has D-Sub, HDMI, & DP ports, speakers, built-in power supply and at least 1920x1080 resolution. On top of that the display panel is soft on the eyes reducing strain. AOC has always been my brand of choice. Thanks AOC for such great products.
