  • Classy notebooks to bring to meetings
Very good meeting note book. Has both pros and cons. First, this note book is made of good quality. The binding rings are strong and the book cover are hard composite boards which will stand well against wear and tear. The sheets aren't made of the heavier weight, but are just enough to stay tidy within the binding. The note book itself does provide enough functional divisions for a small meeting. If you're going on a 1-hour+ meeting with very many important points to jog down, then the single page of this note books' sectional divisions aren't very ideal. For my purpose, I would rather have two pages, both facing me, for note taking under 1-meeting setting. We normally meet with more than just 4-5 attendees, and our engineering/sales meetings often pertain to more than just 10 lines for meeting minutes. And action items are usually taking up more than just a small bottom box to keep track of. If I get to design the task tracker, I'd put the task description on the left bottom side of the left page, and divide it into "commited" "in-progress", "verification" "rework/others", then "complete" all across the bottom into the right page. Anyways, for small 30 minute meetings, this booklet would probably be perfect, but for larger meetings where every topic gets an important worth of recall, this would be too small to do the job. But overall, this is still a much better meeting note taker than using plain loose-leaf sheets. I'd still highly recommend this booklet for achieving the organizational needs on meetings. ... show more

  • Sturdy cover, undated pages
I'm really happy with this notebook. The black cover is made of thick, sturdy cardboard covered in water resistant plastic cover. There are 160 pages-enough for over a year's worth of meetings for my job. I like that the pages are undated and do not have page numbers so that you can customize your page numbering system and easily match it to the table of contents at the front of the book. The table of contents is also customizable. The only thing that I would improve about this notebook is to make the cutouts for the binding rings just a bit larger. The current holes are just a bit too small and cause the cover to constantly get caught on the rings. This means that you need to take a few seconds of time to wiggle the cover open or closed. Other than that, this is a great notebook and I enjoy using it. ... show more

  • Meeting Notebook
The meeting notebook is well designed and uses good quality materials. I like the layout. The biggest issue I have is that many of my meetings need more space than a single page for notes. However, the organization tools and size are handy. It may not ultimately replace my standard spiral notebooks due to my space needs but it is a nice tool with archival level materials and helps. ... show more

  • Terrific for Reference
I have been purchasing Oxford products on and off for over 40 years. It's a name that I depend on for quality, and this is no exception! Don't be scared away by the "soft cover" description as this only describes the feel when you touch it. This actually has nice solid covers that allow you to use this notebook without any other support. For me, this is more of a reference notebook to summarize information that I want to keep versus the quick scribbles I am making while actively taking notes. For those of us who aren't part of regular work meetings, this can be used for sermon notes, online lectures, classes and more. I will be using this for webinars, summits, and podcasts. Some of the ways I might use the sections: Purpose = Title/Topic Attendees = Presenter/Guests Notes = Quotes/Key Points/Time Stamps Summary/Key Takeaways = Overall Impression Action Items = Websites to Visit/Terms or Items to Research If you like to keep summaries to refer to at a later time, this just may be the notebook for you! ... show more

  • Great way to start off 2024 more organized!
I am testing out the Oxford meeting notebook for a slightly unconventional use; I'm testing out its use for all the medical phone calls I have to make. Currently, I scribble notes all over a notepad or notebook and often lose track of where I wrote down the information when trying to retrieve it. With this notebook, I can write down the date, who I talked to, and keynotes, and I plan on using the small rectangle for my doodles. I would have preferred if Oxford would have pre-numbered the pages for me, but it's not a big deal. The front of the book has two pages for you to list your table of contents/page numbers as well. The cover is hard but has a soft brushed feel - I actually panicked as I thought it was leather, and I have a child allergic to mammals. I would have preferred the listing to contain the material but possibly a PU. As a left-hander, the lay-flat feature is perfect as well. Also, the notebook arrives shrinkwrapped, which means it arrived with no damage, clean, and ready to go! ... show more

  • High Quality Notebook for Organization!
I attend a lot of meetings in my current job and overall do a pretty poor job of recording what happened in each - and when I do, it's typically typing a note to myself and then they're all over the place. This notebook solves a lot of my issues - it allows me to keep track of what happened and who was in each meeting and I can index them so I can quickly go back and remember what happened when. The notebook and paper are super high quality and will withstand me lugging it around from home to office and back. I actually like that the pages aren't numbered so if I need to rip out a page, it doesn't mess up my numbering! ... show more
