These shelves look AMAZING! We have lived in our home for over 20 years and always planned to have custom built-in shelves made for two nook spaces in our living room - we never did. The space measures 34" so we purchased the 36" set and cut them down to size. We drilled a new hole on the cut end for the pipes to connect and they look like they were custom made for our home. SO easy to put together and install. We highly recommend this product!

I went with these because of the wall with a register and not being able to have a shelf tightly against the wall. Any other shelfs I looked at would have left a large space for items to fall in between and honestly I have the look of a gap. These are perfect! There was a small chip in the smaller shelf but it was located on the under side so I put that board on the bottom can't even see it. Solid wood, very sturdy, can be a pain tightening everything but soooooo worth it. Husband helped with putting them up on the wall, we didn't use the anchors that came with them, as I had read some reviews saying they weren't all that great. We used some that were "better" quality.

I am so glad I bought this shelf! It is taller and wider to similar ladder shelves I was looking at, and is VERY sturdy. It doesn’t look or feel cheap at all. The pipe detail is very sturdy, the wood is real, and I am confident that this shelf is safe bolted to the wall with two kids in the house. Gorgeous! I also like that the wood planks have two tones - one on each side - so you can choose if you want the more brown wood or the more distressed/red toned wood showing. Pictured is the darker brown side on top.

I brought 6 tier 24 inch wide and 4 tier 36 inch wide shelving units to fit between my husband's desk and the wall so he could maximize the space in his office and have somewhere to put his books. I couldn't find a tall unit narrower than 24 inches, so the open design of these shelves only minimally intrude into the window space, which was expected. The pipe design complements his existing decor and, overall, the shelves look good. Setup: Setup was straightforward, but when we put them together the way they were intended, the lowest shelf on each unit partially obstructed wall outlets. Based on measurements, I had expected the network plate to be partially obstructed, but thought there would be just enough clearance to keep the power outlet clear. After discussing different options, we decided to swap the top short pipes with the bottom long pipes. This lowered both sets of shelves so that the bottom shelves just barely cleared the baseboards and neither outlet was obstructed anymore (see second photo on far right and far left). This resolved, very easily, the unexpected difficulties. Cons: My husband wishes that the height of each shelf could be adjusted, but that was the only con, in my opinion. I would totally be interested in the option to buy extra pipes of different lengths and extra boards so that we could customize them more. Quality: One of the shelves seemed a little warped and the wood finish is rough, but I expect the books will cover most flaws. The color is not quite what I expected. Otherwise, they seem sturdy and securing them to the wall will prevent their tipping over. Conclusion: Overall, I like the way they look, they fit the space almost perfectly, they seem solidly built, and will last for a long time.

The shelf was exactly what I was hoping and my husband was able to install very easily. When the product arrived it was missing one of the pipe pieces and I emailed the company. Within an hour they had responded and sent a new part. They also gave us a $10 credit which was completely unnecessary but greatly appreciated! Fantastic customer service!

I bought this for the den and was really bummed when it didn't fit the intended location. There's an outlet box blocking the bottom shelf. I briefly considered hiring an electrician to move it, but didn't want to spend the additional $$$. I thought I may cut the shelf. Decided against that so I wouldn't accidentally ruin it. RETURN? No way! The unit is SO beautiful, I didn't want to send it back. So I put it in my bedroom, where I already had some homemade shelves. This unit is SO much better and sturdy as a rock. The reclaimed wood is beautiful and installation was relatively easy (it'll be harder for a novice). Make sure you line the flanges up so you can reach the screws with your driver (oops). And if you need drywall anchors, buy yourself some better ones. I like the type that screw in. BUY THESE!
