It's a strong, long-lasting battery that doubles-to-triples my unplugged playtime (depending on game demands). the magnet is strong and designed to easily snap exactly in place. the cable is just the right length and helpfully angled at 90 degrees at both ends. the indicator lighting suggests how much battery power is left on the device. the plastic clip is strong and just slim enough to still zip the Steamdeck into the case the device came with. The battery is quite heavy, but positioned such that it sits at just the right angle when resting on a pillow on my lap, or seated at a table. I just need a way to have a full play session when I'm seated far from an outlet or on the occasional long trip, and this does the trick! This is a review for the Antank Magnetic Power Bank. First thing I notice is that the quality looks exceptional. Nothing rattles and everything seems very solid and built well. There is a button on the front that when pressed shows a circular light formation so you know the remaining battery power. You can charge the battery with any phone charger and USBC cord. The clip that goes onto the steam deck has a magnetic attachment so the battery pack is easily removed. (My Steam Deck is delayed in shipment so unfortunately I can't show it attached.) The magnet is very strong. You can see in the picture attached I am holding it upside down. It comes with two cables, a long cable and short cable with 90° angles. The short one is perfect when hooking the battery up directly to the steam deck. The long one is good if you don't want to have the battery attached directly to the deck or if you're charging a cell phone or tablet. The great thing about this battery pack is you can use it to charge your steam deck, cell phone, tablet, or even batteries for electronic devices such as cameras and camcorders. I am charging my camera battery in the picture attached. I'm very pleased with this purchase, It's a quality item at a fair price. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

Pro: The battery is what you would expect, it is powerful and adds roughly 1 to 3 hours depending on your activity. Personally I use it to charge the built-in battery while in my backpack which takes about 45 mins to an hour. Cons: It is like strapping a cement brick to the back. It is heavy and not comfortable to use while playing. That said, just lay it on the floor with a long usb-c cable and it works the same. Love the magnet idea, but not the weight. ... show more

This charger is a must have for portable gaming. It does at least 1 full charge for less than 10% to full while I play. It has a mount that clips to your steam deck, and the battery magnetically sticks to the mount. 2 cables are included, a short one with a 90° USB C male plug in, meant for use with the mount. And a longer type c plug in for sitting the battery down and playing or charging something else. The battery itself uses a type c connection for charging and discharging. I took this powerbank and my steam deck on a round trip flight to Australia from the US. I'm happy to report that I did not have to charge it once. Overall, the heft is considerably more with the magnet attached but I normally play with a Bluetooth controller anyway. It's a decent size but it sits flush with the deck, and you can tilt it toward you with the heft of it. Quality wise, it's fairly durable. I dropped it out of my hands onto a hard floor (airport)and it didn't dent anything. The lights showing charging still work and I haven't had any issues. Here are some things that I wish it had. However, keep in mind the value for money is still really good. 1. Compatibility with a case. I have to take the deck out of the case to use the magnet back, so it's a little annoying. 2. Usb a option. There are some things I have, like headphones that charge with micro usb. As a result, I have to use an adapter 3. Embedded cabling or more than usb c in the box. This is small, but at this price point, again, still can't complain! ... show more

TL;DR: don't duct tape another power bank to your Steam Deck- just buy this one. There are plenty of power banks out there that will charge your Steam Deck, and probably have higher capacity or faster charging- but you might as well just plug it in to the wall if you want to be tethered to a big 'ol brick. It seems ludicrously simple to throw some magnets and plastic together to make a power bank that attaches the back of the deck, but it totally works. Yeah, it makes it heavier, but it also easily doubles or triples your battery life! The Steam Deck is one of my favorite purchases I've ever made, but the battery life is definitely not ideal. Especially when you're playing AAA games, you're luck to get an hour and a half out of a full charge. But by slapping this power bank on the back, I'm able to get way more game time. Plus, you can even cycle it- play for a while till the power bank is drained, then play off of the Steam Deck's battery while the power bank charges. Worth every penny! ... show more
