This is a comfortable ankle holster that securely holds my backup weapon, and a spare magazine. I spend a lot of time chasing after bad people, going up and down stairs, and sitting in my squad car - all in the heat and humidity of Florida. This holster holds up well in those conditions, retains my weapon comfortably and safely, and is unnoticeable for all intents and purposes. For $10, I'm shocked at the quality. I've spent more for ankle holsters, but did not get a reciprocal value for that investment. I am well and truly pleased with my Bear Armz holster, and I highly recommend it to others.I bought this as a duty-use item to carry my back-up gun for work 2 weeks ago, and wanted to get some field-use in with it prior to writing my review. It is very comfortable to wear - even on 14 hour shifts, outside in the Florida heat and humidity. This holster carries my Walther PPS m2 and spare mag with ease. It disappears behind my pants leg like it's not even there. I use this ankle holster in conjunction with the Concealment Express kydex IWB holster for extra piece of mind, as I carry my back-up gun in Condition 0/Condition 2 while going up and down stairs, chasing bad guys, and sweating like crazy in the aforementioned Florida heat and humidity - this arrangement allows me to bypass the built-in velcro strap of the ankle holster, using the retention capabilities of the molded kydex with the compression of the elastic on the ankle holster, and go straight to the gun without fighting with the safety strap on the ankle holster. YMMV, but I'm happy with this set-up. I highly recommend this holster. It works very well, and I consider it well worth the $10 I paid for it.

I have had this product over six months and use it multiple times weekly. OVERALL: Excellent product at excellent price that does what it is designed to do. CONSIDERATIONS: 1. I found it most easily worn by 1.) Put gun and magazine into holster and secure with straps. 2.) Attach gun snuggly, but not tight around ankle were calf muscle ends; where ankle is approximately uniform in size. 3.) Attach the upper strap as high as possible above the calf muscle TIGHTLY. This strap holds the gun UP. The other keeps it from moving around on the leg. 2. Obviously, the pants cuff needs to be somewhat loose. I have worn it with khakis and jeans both. I wear in on inside of left leg (I am right handed) and with the grip (S&W 9mm Shield) slightly to the back of my leg. No one ever (grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc.) has ever made it known that they noticed it. I have asked other gun owners if they could see it and generally they say no or "not until you pointed it out." 3. If I fail to get the lower strap snug, the gun will rotate around the leg. Hence, the upper must be tight to hold it up. If the lower is too tight, it causes the metal of the gun to dig in. I wear it over a regular sock. 4. When I have put it on with the upper strap tight, it has never slid down. 5. Material has held up and continues to function as designed.

Style: Snap Retention with Calf Strap
I wear this with my Ruger LCR positioned on the inside of my left leg. The ankle portion is a risky fit, while the calf portion is an excellent fit, made even better by the calf strap. Back to the ankle—it works on mine, but I’d feel much better with a securing strap there as well. That’s the only reason for four stars instead of five. It works in huaraches, work boots and everything in between. The fit is firm but comfortable. I forget it’s there. I got lazy and went to bed with it on once. It’s like a pajama holster. Kind of weird to do that regularly though. Anyway, more focus on the fit of the ankle portion and the addition of an ankle strap would be awesome.

For a neoprene ankle holster this is a great product. Pros: Double Velcro straps for minimal movement Retention strap Magazine/accessory pocket Cons: No solid trigger guard Designed for taller people Pistol retention strap should be more like a thumb break retention strap I bought this ankle holster for those times I want to take my suit coat off or otherwise can't carry on my waist. I started out testing this holster wearing without a pistol in it while at work, and I even slept with it on with a pistol and spare mag. It is very comfortable. There have been a few times when driving for a while that it seems to slide down a little, but it's probably due to my leg muscles being in a different position between walking and driving. The holster is designed for a wide variety of leg circumferences. It would probably be great lengthwise for someone 5'8" or taller, but might work fine for a shorter woman with long lower legs. I should get my wife to try it on... The retention strap should either break in the middle or fold down so that the strap doesn't get in the way while trying to draw. One nice thing about the pistol compartment is that the elastic has two layers so that if your pistol needs more or less tension on it you have options. I purchased this for my M&P shield which does not have a manual safety, but even if it did I would use a kydex trigger guard. My trigger guard is very minimalistic but it's a little too tight of a fit but I make it work. Overall I am satisfied with the product and would recommend it even with it's short falls.

I wrote a short review after I received the product. I have now been wearing the ankle holster with my Glock 26 and second magazine for more time. I have mowed my lawn, done general work around the hose, been to the stores. I wear it all day and am happy with the fit and comfort. I am going to start experimenting with the positioning where I wear the holster. I never thought I would like an ankle holster but should have done this years ago. My warning to anyone buying this is that if you wear skinny jeans or straight legs jeans it won't work for you. Even with the baggier pants it is a little harder to get to the weapon very quickly. Don't get rid of your IWB holsters. Even with that said I would recommend this ankle holster. Well made with lots of stitching, velcro works well, no slipping down the leg, material is neoprene and breaths, storage for a second magazine. Great price and the manufacturer truly cares about your satisfaction.

I work on my feet 10-12 hours per day, I wanted to try it out for a week before giving feed back so here goes: * My Taurus G2C was a really tight fit - Not sure I would attach "Tactical" to this holster. The velcro strap seems to really hold the gun in place, but to try and draw may take a minute. *Day one - Gun kept sliding down my leg so I kept tightening up until I found the spot it would not slide but by the time I got off work the gun had dug into my leg and was very comfortable *Day two - attached a piece of old gun case foam between the holster and my leg to try and take a little pressure off the gun digging into my leg - worked somewhat but the foam kept sliding out, *Day three - There is an additional nylon piece within the holster it'self. I cut a piece of foam to slide in the slot closest my leg with the gun in the outer slot. This worked better but still uncomfortable by the end of the day. *Day 4 - Stayed with the same set up I had the prior day but was back to slippage and continually had to re-adjust *Day 5 - Strapped it on, drove all the way to work, but just couldn't bring myself to go all day again dealing with it so I left my gun locked in the car I know I work longer hours than most, 95% on my feet, I wear dress cloths so concealing IWB is out, was just hoping maybe this would work, Not really a very big investment to test it out. I'm going to keep it for possible use (like the other half dozen or so) I think it would work OK for other inviroments, just not mine. If you have a "normal" job, it would probably work fine. One word of caution, as another reviewer noted, I did experience sugnificant sweating with mine, so after extended use, that moisture may cause issues with your gun,

Style: Snap Retention with Calf Strap
I've tried several ankle holsters and usually had significant comfort issues, retention issues or just plain bad quality. There are times when you want to carry, but more inconspicuous than most methods and this works great. Other holsters I had would sag down until I've got a barrel banging on my ankle bone or something or flopping around. If I had to nitpick this, it would be the lack of a quick release on the upper strap. Second would be the retention strap for the pistol- a quick thumb break style would be awesome, or at least better adjustability for different frames. If I carry my little .45 or double stack 9mm, the magazine fits great but a single stack mag flops around in the magazine pouch... again, more adjustability in the retention would be cool. I carry on the inside of my weak-side leg and this holster makes concealed carry super easy. Stick with regular fit pants and avoid tapered or 'skinny' styles and nobody will be the wiser. So far, I've tried a Walther PPK, Taurus PT111, Taurus PT145, Ruger SR22 and a Glock 42 in it and they all fit... as will a Bersa Thunder .380 or any other Walther-styled pistol. I'd happily pay more for this same holster with a quick-snap thumb break style retention like my leather Galco belt rig in which I carry a 1911 at times. Put your hand on the grip and you can go from absolute retention to released with a tiny flip of the thumb.

Just purchased my second one with the Velcro it’s comfortable it’s light. It’s not hot. It fits my Smith & Wesson bodyguard perfectly. The only issue I have is the top strap could be a little longer. If you’re a manly man with manly calf muscles it’s barely long enough to go around even if you keep it up just underneath your knee. It’s basically connected on the end and then the Velcro wore out on mine and that’s why I had to get another one. The bottom strap is perfectly fine just wish the top strap was a little longer for the big calf muscles other than that great for the money. Works great.
