  • Convenient
Makes charging multiple things at once a little easier.

  • This thing is awesome. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews.
This charging stand it great, it's exactly what I was looking for. I was a little hesitant to order at first due to some reviews claiming it has poor build quality, wobbles, etc., but I have had great experiences with every Anker product I've purchased so I went for it anyway. I'm glad I did. The stand looks fantastic on my desk. Build quality is super solid. No wobble, no creaking, and it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. It has a decent weight to it but it's not heavy. It holds my iPhone 12 mini solidly and the arm pivots to adjust the angle the phone sits at. For people complaining that when you try to lift the phone off of the stand with one hand the stand comes with the phone—DUH—it's connected with strong magnets, what do you expect? Use some common sense and pull *down* on the phone to separate it from the stand instead of pulling up or toward you and you'll have no problems. Another noteworthy detail is that the stand came with a white cable. Past reviews complaining of a black cable that doesn't match the stand must have received a previous version of the stand or something. I am a little disappointed that it didn't come with a power adapter for plugging into the wall, but for the price and quality of this stand I shouldn't complain. I ordered the Anker Nano IQ3 20W charger and it works as expected. It doesn't bother me that the stand doesn't use Apple's fast charging because slow charging is better for the battery anyway, and the phone will just sit on the stand all day while I work anyway. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • It’s good if it’s what you need, but is it what you need
This is a pretty good charging stand. To decide if this is a good choice for you, you need to ask yourself what you want it to do. MagSafe as a charger is kind of a mixed bag. If you need two hands to disconnect the phone from the charger, what have you really gained vs a cable, which charges faster and more efficiently? For me, the biggest answer is space on my nightstand. I hate cables dangling around and needing to find the right one, and this charges my AirPods or a second phone as well. So for me, this has a purpose. But as a single charger for one phone, I’d argue a regular Anker wireless stand is better because it’s easier to get the phone on and off the charger. So how does it work? I tested the MagSafe charger using the included cable and an Anker Nano 20w adapter (not included). I got 6.6w out of it. This isn’t faster than regular Qi, so you’re not here for the charging speed. For comparison, I got 17.3w out of the same adapter with a cable, 6.7w with a RAVPower charging pad and included adapter, and 8.8w with an Anker Powerwave charger (the one with the fan in it). So you’re not here for the charging speed. For a nice all in one device that can charge two things overnight, or possibly to watch video at a desk, this is good, but I don’t think it offers a lot over traditional Qi chargers and/or wired charging. All depends on what you want to get out of it. ... show more

  • Not compatible with some high-power USB-C power chargers
The product works as advertised and feels/looks nice in person. Decent price, but only 4 stars beacause it doesn't provide high power wireless charging and because it will only work with power adapters that can output power with the following specifications: [email protected] (12 watts) 9V@2A (18 watts) 12V@2A (24 watts) 15V@2A (60 watts) I tried using a Nekteck multiport charger with a USB-C output. The Anker dock never activated or charged anything. The Nekteck charger supports only the following output configurations over USB-C: 5V@3A (15 watts) 9V@3A (27 watts) 12V@3A (36 watts) 15V@3A (45 watts) [email protected] (87 watts) In my situation, I am able to use a USB-C to USB-A adapter so that I can use a USB-A port that outputs 5V@~2 (which is the slowest charging rate and means that the wireless pad on the base will not work properly). Also, this will charge an iPhone 11 (or another phone) if you get use magnetic case to keep it mounted to the dock. Just wanted to share in case someone was thinking of using a spare high-power USB-C charger that they have laying around. The complexities of USB-C power delivery is why including chargers in the box is nice sometimes (though it can become wasteful). ... show more

  • great product, but why not color match the charging cable??
It's only been a day but the product meets all expectations. It's pretty hefty despite being mostly plastic, and the user can remove the phone without moving the whole stand too much. First impressions are that it works better with an official magsafe case than with the bare phone, and not at all with a non-magsafe case. I'm now questioning if its OK long-term to keep this phone (12 Pro Max), which does not need to be charged often in my normal use, charging all dang day, but that's my own dopey neuroticism talking. An amazing detail is the LED indicator: it fades left to right when the phone is docked, right to left when the Qi pad is active, and ping-pongs back and forth when both are on. Nice touch! I don't personally love the design - would have favored the cylindrical arm seen on some competitors - but I trust the brand and am not disappointed so far. Docking a star because the device features a fetching white/gray aesthetic but the included cable, completely counterintuitively, is black. ... show more

  • Lower charger is tricky
I really want to love this charger: it's compact, sturdy, and relatively attractive. The upper charger works well with my large iPhone, but it's tricky to get the lower charger to connect with my AirPods 2 case. I have to shuffle the case around just so to get it to connect, and this can be hard to do if the iPhone is already charging as it obstructs the view. I tried two different AirPod cases to be sure it wasn't a one-off issue, but both were tricky to connect. ... show more
