This charger does work but the phone gets incredibly hot, thats the battery on long charges, so I only use it on short charges to avoid what can be damaging to a phone too much heat. I also use another wireless charger that I have that charges at lower power and does not heat up I use it at night, I wake and the phone is fine and charged, I gave this product 4 stars because of the heat it generates because is a fast charger, it does its job but it could be damaging the phones internals. ... show more

I actually liked this so much that I bough a second one. Now I have one by my computer and one in the bedroom so that I can more easily charge my phone. One of the plagues of the iPhone (in my opinion) is that they become increasingly difficult to charge via the little lightning port. Sometimes I would plug it in and it would start to charge but then stop at some point, and I wouldn't find out until hours later when the phone wasn't charged. Or I'd have to stick the darned charger in several times and jostle it around just to get it to start charging. Annoying, to say the least. This charger has solved my problems! Just set the phone on it, the charger lights up for a couple seconds and I hear a tone, and I know that the phone is charging. I've had one for about a year now, and it hasn't failed me yet. I bought this sometime last year and thought this was going to solve my problem with forgetting to plug my phone in to charge it, and it kind of did, but not really. First of all, this wireless charger heats your phone up super-hot, hot enough that it can be uncomfortable to use it if you don't give it a few minutes for it to cool down. Also, it's really bad for the overall health of your battery for it to get that hot, it can swell your battery causing it to be replaced sooner rather than later and decrease battery life - not holding a charge. The second thing about this device is the charging time. No, I wasn't expecting it to be super-fast, but not this slow either. I will say the construction seems pretty solid and stable, but this doesn't make up for the heating issue and the slow charge time. The other reason I bought it was to avoid having to undo the rubber protective piece that covers the charging port because mine seem to break within a year or so, even though I'm super careful with it. ... show more

Works as advertised. Reasonable charging times. The 10W is a stretch comparison as this is an induction charger, not a direct plugin. I use this in my auto from the usb-C port with an adapter.
