This cable is very expensive. It is not as smooth and silky as claimed. In fact the cable I received was heavy, lumpy and sharp bends left it with lumps ( bends remained after removal of the bend) so there is some memory effect which is very disappointing (considering Ankers reputation for quality). Moreover the cable I received had an unfortunate intermittent electrical connection at the USBc end of the cable. Contacting Anker support yielded some unusual requests from them referencing a proof of purchase, shipping address, serial number, picture of the cable, and other questions atypical of an Amazon merchant, especially one like Anker. Eventually someone reasonable contacted me and promised to ship me another cable. The replacement cable was pathetic, even worse than the original. It is almost as if they fished a few wires into a silicone tube so it fits like a loose condom. I have attached images. This has got to be the heaviest. lumpiest and poorly-constructed cable I have ever received, especially from a company with a previously stellar reputation for design and quality like Anker. This is clearly a loser product at a premium price. Still, I remain underwhelmed. Do not buy this cable. There are plenty of alternatives out there. This is not something anyone should consider I think, actually I hope, Anker can to better then this garbage! ... show more

Bought this based on the claimed durability, but after approximately 3 months, it is already failing with the dreaded constant connection / disconnection issue. It’s my bedside charger, so it really doesn’t see heavy use - plug in at night and unplug in the morning. Disappointing quality at this price point and no more durable than any of the braided cables I’ve tried. Update 10/21: Anker reached out to me shortly after I left the original review and offered to replace the cable. I’ve been using the replacement for about 5 months and it has been much better without any of the issues I had with the first one. Notably - Anker did not ask me to change my review. Stopped connecting not even 2 weeks old. I have been using anker products since 2015 this is the first cable I have had go bad. Cable was in my car and was not used but perhaps 3 times since the 15th when I got it. Guess one should stick to the tried and true and not get caught up on the new and exciting. Will not be repurchasing this style of cable and will most likely return the other one I purchased for inside use. ... show more

It’s a great feeling sturdy beautiful cable. But come on Anker. You started as a budget friendly company and now you’re selling cables for more than Apple. There’s no reason this or any cable should be $20. So yes it’s a great cable but $20… not worth it. I’d rather get the 3 packs for $15.

The cord is very soft and the pastel colors look nice and different from the usual white and black. The main negative is that Anker only offers a 18-month warranty on this cord whereas Anker offers lifetime warranty on its other cords like the powerline II and powerline + III. With apple going backwards in the cable quality department as of late… it’s nice to see someone address cable feel and durability. Dare I say these are almost too supple? Ive had 2 of these cables both stopped working within a few weeks. Had to get a replacement for both. So far the replacements have been working well. *edit* [the replacements have stopped working again! Do not buy this. Stay away.] They have a very soft feel. A bit heavier than their other cables. I like it, just wish it was more durable. Side note: I usually get the power line plus series. And have never had issues with those. I really wanted to like this item. It does have a very soft and flexible feel. However, this was a colossal dud for me. In 1 hour plugged into my iPhone 12, it moves the charge only 20% points. I kept thinking it was my new 100w USB-C charger that was the dud because it couldn’t be Anker right? Well, I ended up buying another Satechi 100w USB-C charger with the same result. I pulled out the original Apple charging cable that came with the phone and conducted the same experiment with both chargers with the original Apple cable and the charge moves 45% points in 1 hour. Unfortunate that the Anker product did not even come close to stated expectations as a “high-speed charging” product. ... show more
