This is definitely not an item I’d hike with. For the price paid and doesn’t come with a strap, is disappointing. Outside of those two issues I bought this mainly for family car camping, to use this for movie nights for the kids. Powering a projector, possibly iPad or laptop depending on what I bring. Charging speed seems decent. This is a very easy to use power station. It’s extremely portable but not in a backpacking or hiking term. I’m going on a solo paddle camp in the next week so I will test the power capacity and functionality when I’m out in the woods and update this soon. Update: ive gone on a few kayak/sup camping trips, this held up well. this is a good power station especially for the size. its not going to power kitchen appliances, however it will get your basic necessities. I do take this station everywhere with me. I keep It in my car at all time unless I need to quickly charge it. Ive been using Anker products for over 10 years now. I think since they started in 2012 or so with their battery banks. I love their products but will always remain true when it comes to my personal experiences with their products. I did give this a 3 star rank because I was disappointed with the whole "hiking" power station advertisement however, hiking and backpacking isn't really the same lol. I will say this is NOT a device I would hike with, but this is a device id recommend everything to keep in their car, or any outdoor activity. So this is a 5 star product, when it comes to delivery.

Anker SOLIX C300 — A Ham Radio Operator's Honest Review After 72 Hours of Real-World UPS Testing ★★★★★ Background: I'm a licensed amateur radio operator (CW, HF) and outdoor cook with two pellet grills. I needed a unit that could do three things: bridge a 15-second Generac whole-house generator cutover for a 21-inch iMac, charge laptops and phones on the go, and power a 12V telescope mount and camera at dark sky sites. Here's what I found after 72+ hours of systematic testing. --- HOW I GOT HERE --- After the Nomad400 failure I researched every portable power station in the 256-300Wh class for dual UPS and portable use. The C300 won out over the EcoFlow River 3 (AC shutoff firmware bugs), the Jackery Explorer 300 V2 (no app support), and the GoldenMate LFP UPS (purpose built but no portable use case). $229.99 on a Amazon was also the best price I found after weeks of research. --- SETUP --- Dead simple. Plug into wall, plug iMac into AC outlet, long press power button, press AC button. That's it. The Anker app connected via Bluetooth instantly and prompted a firmware update (v1.0.5.1) which installed cleanly. Two settings worth configuring immediately in the app: set Device Timeout to Never, and confirm Smart AC Output Mode is off. Output Port Memory Switch should be on — this ensures the AC output re-enables automatically if the unit ever loses power and restarts. --- UPS PERFORMANCE --- This is the main event. In passthrough mode the display shows "--" on input and your load wattage on output, with battery holding at 100%. This is correct and expected behavior — when the battery is full the unit passes wall power straight through without drawing from the battery, so there's nothing to display on the input side. Don't be alarmed by the "--". The switchover test was flawless. With a TextEdit document open and text typed, I pulled the wall plug. The iMac didn't blink. Not a flicker, not a hesitation — completely seamless. The C300 display showed the switch to battery mode. After discharging a bit (to 95%) I plugged back in and everything was exactly as I left it. Anker rates the switchover at under 10ms and based on my testing that's credible. The iMac draws between 34W and 100W depending on processor load, averaging around 55-65W in normal use. After 24 hours of continuous passthrough operation — including overnight unattended — the battery has held at 100% throughout. This is the test the competing unit failed in under 4 hours. The C300 passed without drama. --- REAL NUMBERS --- Here's what the display showed at various points during 24 hours of testing: — Passthrough idle: 0W input, 34-64W output, 100% battery — Charging from 95% back to 100%: 170W input, 56W output — Temperature throughout: 89-98°F (32-37°C), well within normal range — Fan behavior in passthrough: completely silent — Switchover relay click: audible but quiet, reassuring The fan only runs during active charging at higher wattage. In permanent UPS standby mode you will not hear it. This is a significant advantage over traditional UPS units that run their fans continuously. --- APP --- The Anker app is genuinely useful for this application. Real-time monitoring of battery percentage, input wattage, output wattage, and temperature without walking over to the unit. Firmware updates are delivered cleanly with actual change notes. The ability to configure timeout settings and output modes remotely makes it far more capable than competing units that offer LCD and buttons only. Connected via WiFi the monitoring works from anywhere in the house. --- PORTABLE USE --- At 9.1 lbs the C300 is genuinely portable. The 140W USB-C port charges a 15-inch MacBook Air at full speed — roughly 3 full charges from the 288Wh battery. The 12V car socket will power my Celestron AVX telescope mount and 12V astronomy camera directly without burning the AC inverter, which saves capacity and runs cleaner. Starlink Mini (20-30W draw) is well within its capability for extended field sessions. --- HONEST OBSERVATIONS --- The display shows "--" for input in passthrough mode which initially caused concern — it's normal and correct behavior, not a fault. The unit shows "273 days" remaining runtime when plugged into wall power regardless of load. This is clearly a software quirk for displaying effectively unlimited runtime. Amusing but harmless. Third party carrying cases are available on Amazon for $15-25. Anker's own bag is $59 — skip it and get a third party option that does the same job. AC recharging power defaults to 100W in the app. You can increase to 330W for faster top-up after an outage, but 100W is gentler on the battery for permanent UPS duty. --- CONTEXT: PREVIOUS UNIT FAILURE --- For anyone comparing the C300 to the AFERIY Nomad400: the Nomad400 showed excellent UPS switchover, silent fan, and clear display on arrival, but its passthrough charging circuit failed within hours — the unit drained its battery to 3% while plugged into the wall. The C300 has shown none of this behavior after 24 hours of identical testing. The passthrough reliability difference is night and day. --- BOTTOM LINE --- Pure sine wave, LFP battery with 3,000+ cycle life, 10ms UPS switchover, full app control, silent fan in standby, 5-year warranty, and 72 hours of real-world testing with zero issues. At $229.99 on sale it's the best value in its class for anyone needing a reliable desktop UPS that doubles as a capable portable power station. Highly recommended.

I am someone who relies on a product to do the task I need done. I will try any product out, however when I saw Anker made a portable power station, I bought it in an instant. I do not regret that decision at all. I’m even considering buying another one. What I liked about the system is it that it charges the whole thing in about an hour. You have no idea how important having an AC charger is for a portable power station. There are other power stations out there that are charged by a USB-C cord. They will take three times as long to fully charge andand you might need two cords. I don’t have a place to live right now. I also don’t have I don’t have three hours to wait to charge any power station, or electric device in the world. This works for me. The other day it charged from 3% to 100% in less than 57 minutes. I wouldn’t say everybody needs to charge their power station in an hour but if you use it for the next 72 then I think it’s worth it. And that’s about how long I have to charge once every three days give or take. Not everything is perfect in this world like the USB-C method. Yeah it’s fast and convenient but if you’re making a right term and you’re charging something and all of a sudden you have to come to complete stop USB-C cord isn’t going to be very happy. So my issue was one of the ports stopped working because of my own idiotic life. But there’s still two ports left. I have an idea for a resign, but I don’t work for anchor but if I did, I would take out the two AC ports, but leave one to charge And one of course for an outlet and add two more USB ports, but we’ve got to find a way to stop them from ripping out and ruining the port I wish I was technology that’s not even a thing, but you know how gas station pumps have breakaway hoses something like that. What I struggle with is USB-C technology. It’s fast and convenient, but those chords and plugs rip out a lot of times ruining the port and ruining the cable where they get stepped on or water or iced tea gets in there by accident. Regardless, this is a great product and I just thinkthink the technology needs to change, Beyond the product, which is a great price and a lot of power, the customer service support at Anker is one of the best. I’m not being paid anything to write this. I wish I was cause I could make it really sound good but I don’t need to. Anker is probably one of the best if not the best in chargers, cables, power stations, and I’m in need of a Bluetooth speaker now so maybe they’re the best in that department too. When you have an excellent product and a helpful and knowledgeable customer service department, you earn a five star review on Amazon and a customer for the rest of their life.

Great device solidly built anker quality. Really liked that about it. Lots of buttons on it though that can be shut off by accidents. I did have problems with unit one connecting to internet and wifi. The app is superb. This item is not for computers! You dont want to be using it to power your hard drives or your computer. It takes too long for the unit to know if the power is gone and when it needs to start working. So expect frequent shut downs. It can be used for internet providing It an be plugged into a device that has a USBC power. The USBC works flawlessly and you wont experience internet problems- where it fails is on your other items that are plugged into the AC receptacles. Your hard drives will shut down and you will experience data loss. So it's not a good choice for that. Get something that is. HOWEVER the stuff that is designed for computers is so old and so unengineered that it just doesnt feel as safe as this anker unit. The size is great. I wish I could have kept it - I wish it would have worked for my application but it did not. Great product Anker bravo on that - your quality is awesome. You just need to ingrate something that works with today's electronics that can NEVER lose power. I find the run Time good and the charging is fast and I do like how you can tell the unit how much power you want it to charge itself with - bravo. I do have another one that works on a water softener and that DOES work really well. So for an appliance - go for it.

Serves my purposes just right. Charging phones, other smaller power banks, flashlights, lanterns on the go, it's just right! Also, having the ac ports let's me plug in additional usb Charging adapters to enable me to charge multiple usb chargeable devices simultaneously. I own multiple anker solix products including but not limited to (2) of the solix c1000 with add on battery, and the newer solix c2000 with add on batteries. I think anker makes quality power banks that can power specific systems based on specific needs. The solix c2000 with add in battery powers my entire northstar sc650 truck camper to include the rooftop ac system and does a great job. Just think about your specific needs and do your homework prior to purchasing one of their many systems. I have not been disappointed with my purchases to date.

This thing is way more powerful than Anker’s 250W power bank, giving you a significant boost in capacity and versatility. This little buddy power’s small appliances with ease. What really sets it apart are the dual 140W USB-C ports, which are a game-changer for charging speed and convenience, it’s like having a mini power station without the bulk.
