    • The Anker Solix 3800 is a truly capable battery system.
We live in an area with power outages. The 3800 plus an expansion battery runs everything but the air conditioning. A tip for everyone: Get a licensed electrician to install a generator plug and switch. This allows you to use the NEMA 14-50 outlet on the Anker Solix. It also insures that you don’t send power back out to the grid and fry the repairman who’s trying to restore your power. Alternatively, you can simply plug in loads (fridge, lights, etc.) directly into the 3800. Just don’t EVER try to energize your home wiring without having an electrician set it up properly. The Anker Solix 3800 is a remarkable battery with a lot of capability, and it gets us safely thru outages with fridge, well pump, sewage lift pump, etc. fully operating. Just no air conditioning, still working on that. Good luck! ... show more

Works exactly the way it should and has a huge capacity. Couldn't ask for a better expansion system. Adds a lot of weight once it’s on top of the unit so the unit is difficult to roll but completely understandable and necessary if you want this much capacity in a battery you’re gonna be dealing with weight. ... show more

    • Doubles my available backup power
I bought this to add to my F3800 base unit. This will give me additional available power. Unit has some weight to it. A cable was provided to connect it to the base F3800 unit. Charging is seamless. I bought Anker due to its available power and numerous positive reviews.

    • Silly Cable, Expensive
The cable sticks out so far it DOUBLES the required width of the system! You can't fold/push it out ot the way because it's too stiff & bulky. Since they are custom-designed, the silly manufacturer could have easily made the connectors 90 degrees, but they have no common sense. The 'manual' says nothing about installation or use: -Should the main unit be off? -Does the S.O.C. of the main unit matter? -How is the button on this unit used?? ... show more
