We had a new gate installed on our backyard fence, and the man who constructed it left one area on the bottom corner with an opening that is a little bit larger than the space between all the other slats. I have two small dogs and they figured out that they could squeeze through that one opening and get loose. I put one of these fence panels up to cover that spot and it is working perfectly to keep the dogs in the yard. The fence panels are small and lightweight but are made of sturdy metal, the slats are close together, and the spikes on the bottom are long enough that I could sink them deeply into the ground for a sturdy installation. Of course this set comes with ten panels but I only needed one for the gate. The other nine I will place in front of a flower garden to discourage my dogs from hopping in there to pee on my flowers. My Jack Russell also rolls/pushes a basketball all over the yard at full speed, and the panels will keep him from crashing the basketball into the flowers and plants, as well. This set came with plastic zip ties to join the panels together, but for my purposes I can skip those. It would be nice if the panels locked together as some other brands do, rather than requiring zip ties, or if the zip ties were metal as I do not think plastic ones will hold up to our intensive heat in the summer, which tends to degrade plastic quickly. But like I stated earlier, for my application I can skip the zip ties and just install the panels next to each other and this will work out fine. Overall an attractive set that is well made, basic black in color, has long pointed spikes for easy installation into the ground, and slats that are close together to keep critters either in or out.

I requested this 10-pack of black no-dig barriers to use and be reviewed. I have one dog who is a Houdini... If she can't go over a fence, she tries to go under. So I've been adding these no-dig barriers around the entire dog's yard. These barriers arrived safely. They are black in color. Included with the barriers are zip ties, and a pair of cotton gloves. These barriers I received are what I would call "a middle-of-the-road" thickness. I've received some that are thinner metal, and some thicker metal barrier brands. The zip ties are thin and weak. I will be using a metal zip tie to lock them together. Some no-dig barrier panels lock together in the design, but these do not. Whenever I install any no-dig barriers, I always soak the ground before trying to hammer them in. I also place a scrap of 2x4 board on top of the barrier as I'm hammering so as not to damage or bend the metal barrier. These barriers would be easier to install by employing the above steps. One plus about these barriers is that the ends of the metal rods are pointed. This will make it a bit easier to push/ hammer into the moist ground.

There are tons of fences like this to choose from, so my review is going to be more of a comparison from this product to others like it, as I've tried many of these fences. If you want to keep rabbits out (I do!), the Valibe Animal Barrier Fence will do the trick. The gaps between each of the little metal spikes is 1.5 inches across (measured and confirmed), which is narrower than what you will find on some similar fence panels. For me, this is a huge plus. It helps the fence be more effective and for me is worth a few extra dollars. The Valibe fence also is slightly wider than many of the panels I've tried - just by about an inch - and I think this is a plus as well. I don't have issues with dogs digging below the fence but can see that these would be effective - my parents have struggled with having to add board after board to the base of their fence to keep their neighbor's dog from digging but this would be an easier, more permanent solution. The Valibe fence comes with a pair of gloves to help you work with the fence but does not have a mallet or hammer for installation. You may or may not be able to push the panels into the soil depending on your soil type without a hammer or mallet. My soil is hard packed clay and I don't need a hammer so long as it's rained recently. Otherwise I absolutely have to use a hammer on this type of panel. The spikes at the bottom are cut well - some of the similar fences I have received are extremely sharp and could easily cause injury. I was pleased to see these are cut just right for not scrapping arms and hands but for still going into the soil well. Aesthetically they are okay. My yard isn't going to win any awards on beauty for the fence panels but having flowers grow instead of being gobbled up by rabbits more than makes up for it.

I'm hoping to install these along one side of our walk if it warms enough this week. This initial set up is to keep the pups from running off to the wrong side of the sidewalk to do business! Ultimately the plan is to use a low fence to set a perimeter where they can go that will keep an area clear for delivery peeps that use the edge of the slope (when ice or snow packed) instead of the driveway & steps. I like the the pointed ends - hoping they will glide past small stones when using a mallet to install. They are high enough to stop the pups yet we can easily step over to "pass" an elder using a rollator or walker to get ahead to unlock the front door. The package surprised me at the heaviness. Upon opening pleased to see they do look and feel well made. A pair of gloves for handling the pieces and number of zip ties are included. If I can get them in I will update with more info (if necessary) and pics.

I have a dog that likes to dog and chase rabbits under out floating deck and has dug some holes for access to them. After using these, she has stopped digging and trying to chase the rabbits. The only issue I ran into was while hammering them into place, a couple of the legs started being and completely buckled. Since I had driving these in much further, it does not affect anything much.
