It's REALLY convenient because I don't need to hold a multimeter AND two probes. Reading is pretty fast. The meter successfully and accurately measures AC/DC voltage, and the intelligent professional current meter provides accurate readings. The inclusion of features like resistance, continuity, capacitance, diode testing, and a non-contact voltmeter sensor adds versatility to its applications. However, there are a couple of aspects that could be improved. The ohm meter and continuity setting being the same might be confusing for some users, as they essentially serve similar purposes. Additionally, the beeping sound during ranging can be quite annoying, especially in quiet environments. Despite these minor inconveniences, I've found the meter to be dependable in various electrical testing scenarios. The clear display with 6000 counts ensures easy readability of measurements. The pen-type design adds to its convenience, allowing for easy handling during testing. I've been a technician for over 50 years now. Test equipment has changed so much over the years. What we're seeing now though is truly amazing. This pen Style meter, incorporates so many functions it's mind-boggling. It doesn't only automatically pick the right ranges, it also picks the right function. It knows if you're reading AC or DC or resistance etc. The color LCD screen is very easy to read. Besides voltage and resistance, it also reads capacitance, temperature, diode test. It has ncv which is no contact voltage reading. It does phase sequencing checks, and much more. It has a voice that tells you your reading audibly. That feature is worth its weight and gold so you don't have to take your eyes off of the test point to read a meter. It even has a built-in flashlight. Even more amazing is that it uses one triple A battery. It is lightweight and will clip in your pocket. It is also well constructed. This device is a winner! ... show more

The pen tester style meter works fine and easy to use, automatic change the mode when detecting different kind of AC DC Continity. But the combination accessories is not included in the box which the seller advertised should be included.

It's pretty accurate. Tested circuits tit for tat with my Fluke 87. I use it in my small tech bag. Pretty nice that it's so small and light.

    • Sooo close to perfect - but "Hold" is broken
Style: A3009 High Version
Needed one of these for working on drones and projects, my big multimeter was too bulky, and wanted the display right there to read = pen multimeter. This one has that, plus voice, which is a cool feature (once the value stabilizes, like voltage, it reads it out to you). UNFORTUNATELY, the "hold" feature works differently than any other multimeter I have ever used, and is useless for me: YOU have to push the button WHEN you want to capture the value. Unfortunately, it's also not in a convenient place, and 90% of the time I would disturb the probe and lose or change the value - thus completely useless. Maybe this is useful for some, but for me (and every other meter I've used), you turn on Hold, and it captures the maximum value read (or most negative, if polarity reversed). Then you you can remove the probe(s) and look at the value. Also: the first thing I did was test the value of a AAA battery: meter set to "Auto", but the batter and probes got HOT!!! Like it was a short circuit - maybe it went into current mode, when it wasn't designed for current? BIZARRE. But it only did it that once - have not had it happen again. So net/net: voice GOOD, getting hot BAD, Hold broken BAD. But maybe that's the way you like it. ... show more
