In the picture it appears that between the tufting, there are two different alternating types of fabric, one smooth, and one slightly puckered. Which gave a nice look. But there is no difference in the rows between the tufting. They are all smooth. Disappointed.

I selected the white duvet cover. Part of the job of a duvet cover is to protect the duvet from needing to be cleaned - down comforters are not washable and cleaning them is an undertaking. To reduce the need for that, a quality duvet cover is necessary. While this microfiber cover is essentially as advertised - soft, wrinkle free, etc. - and I do like the style, I noted it is made of strips of material of alternating opacity - some seem thicker and others almost transparent. If your duvet is colored, this may not be the product for you (at least in white) because the coloring shows through. If your duvet is already white or light (e.g., pale gray, etc.) you are fine. With some of the duvet cover being as thin as it is, I am not sure if it will provide the level of protection I am looking for - not just from dirty paws but from puppy claws as well. I collect bedding! I have 4 cats who think my queen bed is thier bed so I change coverings frequently. This is a very pretty duvet cover with an interesting pattern. I'm not sure how long this textured pattern will remain intact, what with 4 sets of claws trampling over it. I have yet to wash it but I'm curious to see how well the textured ribbing holds up. My duvert insert doesn't seem to fill the entire cover but that could just be my insert. The corner ties are a bit short and thin and I doubt they will hold up to repeated washings. The zipper does get caught on the duvet when closing so be mindful of that. My cover came with a small stain that isn't terrible but I wanted to point it out. The underside of the cover feels nice on the skin, smooth and silky. All in all not a bad cover for the price. ... show more

While a little scratchy right out of the box, after a wash with some fabric softener, this cover softened up and is great on the bed. It is easy to care for and as easy as can be to put on my comforter. Very classic look and very comfortable.

This is a microfiber bed set, so it is very soft and comfortable. The top has tufted striping that gives style to the cover. The bottom is smooth, soft and nice on the skin. At under $30 this is an inexpensive way to jazz up a simple bedroom. This is an excellent value.

I had a grey/silver comforter set on my bed, but it needed an update for several reasons. I wanted something a little more sophisticated and neutral than the sparkly design I had, and I was honestly tired of stuffing an entire comforter into the washer and dryer every time it needed to be washed. The first thing I noticed about this duvet set was how heavy it is. The feel is smooth, silky, and airy, but the overall weight of the cover is pleasantly substantial. As soon as it arrived, I tossed it into the wash, together with the shams, and washed it according to the directions. (That is, I washed it by itself in cold, then ran it on the delicate cycle in the dryer.) It came out wrinkle-free and intact without any loose strings. It was pretty easy to put on due to the zipper and ties. I only used the four corner ties, but they held the comforter just fine. My husband and I found the fabric to be comfortable for sleeping under, too, which is always good! This was a perfect, easy update. Five stars! ... show more

This looks exactly like the photos and is just as pretty. Right out of the package I noticed the fabric was substantial — not too thin and was very soft. I decided to wash it before I put it on the bed and worried the fringe detail would unravel but it washed and dried really well. I washed it with another blanket and used a color grabber sheet in case the dark green dye bled. The sheet came out clean! No bleeding in cool water. I dried it on medium heat and it came out looking great. Don’t forget the dryer sheets though! I use a natural dryer sheet that doesn’t do great with preventing static so it was pretty staticky. Am looking forward to getting it on the bed! ... show more
