Love this but - a little expensive. The flakes are huge. They dissolve into bath well. No scent at all. I don't really notice a major difference between this and my other brands. They all seem to help soothe muscle aches. If the price were lower I would likely purchase this more often just because it is Pure Genuine Zechstein Chloride rather than a mix. I like how they display in a clear jar, I can mix them with other scented products if I want. Ancient Minerals makes the water feel smooth and silky and dissolved quickly in my hot bath. This does not dry my skin out as much as Epsom salt. This product claims to come naturally, I have not researched it, but my health care professional suggested this brand and informed me that many other magnesium products are created in a lab. I use this to detox my skin and help relieve muscle and joint pain. I believe it works really well, however, it is not immediate. For me, it took using it a couple times before I saw some lasting relief. After each use, my pain is slightly better than the previous results from the bath. Only 1-2 cups are needed for each bath or foot soak. (This is from my health care professional). The bag says UP to a whole bag. That is too much and will dry out your skin, and a waste of money. I bought the 8 lb bag, which is huge and will last me a long time. After the bath you do need to rinse off in the shower. The hot bath will pull out toxins from your skin (that's why some people struggled with smell and darker water) so you will need to rinse off the toxins so that they do not re-absorb into your skin.
