  • Nearly Perfect
I received this stand a few days ago and finally got around to getting it all set up. I suppose I should start with the shipping and packaging. It was very minimal when it comes to excess packaging which I consider a plus. It was secure and protected but without the hassle of all the extra junk that is often unneeded and only gets tossed in the trash. The art on the box itself is above average. I know most people don’t really care so much about this but lately I’ve noticed a lot of tech products have really dropped the ball on making their product look nice. Some items I’ve got recently were literally in non-descript boxes. All of the components were inside the box that was supposed to be (7 pieces in total) and even without instructions it is very intuitive on how to piece them together. The instructions are right on the back of the box and there was ALSO an insert in the box with them as well. The pieces literally just slide onto each other and fit tightly together. I picked up the product from different angles and points to see if the pieces would get dislodged (did this with and without the headset) and did not encounter any issues. I have the regular HTC Vive headset with the deluxe audio strap and it fit on the stand just as shown in the demo pictures. My head is a bit large I suppose so I did have to tighten the head strap to pull in some of the slack but it sit on there just fine and stayed when I picked up the stand. The controller holders did their job just fine as well although I will say that I have protective sleeves on my controllers which did present a bit of an issue due to their rubbery, “grippy” nature and not wanting to slide into the slots. Without the covers there was zero issue at all but if you have protective covers then you do have to finesse it a little bit. This is more an issue or result of the controller covers though rather than the product itself. I know that other people have pointed out an issue with the controllers fitting alongside their deluxe audio strap but I did not notice any issues with mine. There are two minor issues that I discovered with the product. I will point out though that both of these issues seem to be a common problem for ALL the VR stands on the market so it is not limited to this particular one by any means and would not keep me from buying a quality stand. The first issue is cable management. The stand does its job very well in holding your headset and controllers but nobody seems to have found a great solution for the huge cable that is attached to it. I suppose the best solution would be to unplug the headset from the 3-in-1 cable when you store it on the stand and then tuck the cable away somewhere else. However I do not personally like to continually remove the hatch piece on the headset to access the plugins because I don’t want to wear it out or risk snapping something. So if you leave the cable on you have to get a little creative with it. I wrapped it around the base of the stand but it would be nice if someone (and again this seems to be a problem for all of them) could develop a better built in system to deal with it. The second issue is price, which is always something a consumer has to look at. The product’s materials seem hefty and sturdy enough and made of decent quality but at $36.99 right now I feel like that may be a bit high. Once again this seems to be an issue with a lot of the VR stands currently on the market and it may just be due to how new VR still is for the average user, but it is certainly going to be an issue for some. There are a lot of DIY stands out there that one can make on their own if they are crafty enough and have the desire to do so. So my overall impression is that I’m very pleased with the material quality and the ease of the construction for the stand. It certainly does what it is designed to do (hold the headset and controllers) and that is the most important part. The only minor complaints I have are issues that all VR stands seem to face so I can only count off a small amount for that at this time. So if I take off a half point for each of those and was to rate this stand out of 10, I think I’d give it a 9 out of 10. If there was anyway the price could be brought down then it would boost the rating quite a bit. ... show more

  • Exactly what was advertised
Super great way to keep your headset and trackers in one place. Purchased for the HTC VIVE Pro 2. Easy and sturdy to assemble

  • Not enough room for charger on HTC Vive controllers
If what you're looking for is a minimalist stand for a headset, this works just fine, but it does not have enough clearance for you to plug in an HTC Vive controller's charger. If the controllers were held just a little higher I'd rate this much higher, but for two dollars more you can get a slightly larger stand which includes contact charging. ... show more

  • Simple and Effective
This stand holds my Vive headset and controllers and is well balanced. Even with the heavy front weight of a VR headset it would take a good amount of force to knock the stand over when it is loaded. Setup only takes a few seconds as the pieces snap together without the need for screws. Very impressed overall. Minor Cons: - The instructions are missing a step. You need to add the controller holder pieces after step 1. - The controllers fit with the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap but just barely. The attached headphones rest directly on the controllers when moved fully forward or backward but not enough that it effects the fit onto the stand. This might cause minor scratches on the controllers over time but you are more likely to smash them on a piece of furniture while in use long before I see that becoming a real problem. ... show more

  • Missing portion to hold controls.
I would have given it 5 stars but it was missing the two pieces to hold the control which is why I bought it.

  • Vive Controller Holders Included, but Need New Cables to Charge Them on Stand
Saw some other reviews complaining that the product they received didn't match the pictures & description (controller holders not included). Mine came with the controller holders as advertised & works just fine. Its a little cramped for the Vive Pro to get the built in headphones around the controllers, and the controllers sit a little too low to keep them on the stand while charging with the manufacturer's cables (housing around the connectors is too long). Got some right-angle cables & now can charge on the stand no problem. Looks good & functions ok, but deducted 1 star for the cramped space & having to buy new cables ... show more

  • Not as flimsy as it looks
I read a few reviews about how flimsy the stand is and took the chance anyway. As long as the headset is on there correctly it’s fine. One issue I had was that the controllers didn’t fit well on it (I have the valve index controllers with the vibe headset) but with a few tweaks everything fit on there. ... show more
