First of all I’ve worked with AMTIFO before and their customer service is great, prompt replies and very helpful. To be upfront I have purchased the 7” camera and monitor for my RV without the dash cam and have been very pleased with it and AMTIFO asked me if I would try out and provide a review of this set up for them. This set up comes with the monitor, Rear Camera which feels very well built all cables necessary antennas, cigarette lighter plug and wire connectors, one thing that was disappointing was that it didn’t come with the windshield mount it has a dash mount but I don’t want holes in my dash or use double side tape (provided) that will probably never come off your dash after sun exposed or it will tear the finish off the dash plus I have a dash cover. You can order the mount on amazon for $19.99 The monitor and camera are super easy to hook up they are synced from the factory and you can test them before install with provided test cable. I installed the camera on the back of my 30ft camper so I can monitor a UTV trailer I pull behind and it works great, a suggestion is to mount the camera as high as possible for better signal from the monitor, everything is wireless, I mounted mine in place of the center Clearance light, (you have to run at least the clearance lights to get power to the camera unless a different power supply is used) Signal to the monitor was good and I never lost signal while pulling the trailer, the rear camera has option to add the parking lines in your view or turn them off. The night view was good. The dash cam has a pretty wide angle and is quite adjustable for angles based on your dash, the unit starts recording when you power it up, you have to turn off recording to access menu, it comes with a 32GB card, the unit records both front and back views separately regardless of which view is on the monitor, if the monitor is in split view it still records the full view from each camera. The menu is a little non user friendly but after playing with it a little I got the hang of it. The recording quality was good I do think that the view from the rear camera is great but I believe the other rear camera I have from Amtifo is a bit more sharp, the recordings were displayed in a folder for each session for each Camera and can also be set to record in a loop of various different intervals. The dash monitor has a hood to help with sun glare and picture quality can be adjusted lighter or darker I found that a darker view was better for me. All in all if your looking for a great way to monitor behind an RV or other trailer and get the dash cam also this is a great set up that is very reasonably priced AMTIFO will also send you a free accessory that you can choose from in the owner’s manual. ... show more

I like the picture quality of the camera. The picture does change a little when going through different lighted areas as it takes a second to adjust to the different light conditions while your driving. I like the fact that you can see the cars behind you that you can't see with your mirrors. I had a little trouble getting it to pair with the monitor until after I viewed the YouTube video of how to do it. One thing that would make it a lot better is if there were dotted yellow lines on the screen like a regular back-up camera in a car. Its also nice to have a front dash cam and be able to record and save it on a memory stick. I highly recommend getting the windshield mount suction attachment to hold the monitor. Otherwise you can stick it to your dash with the double back tape it comes with. You can mount the camera in place of the center clearance light if you like. I didn't do that because I would have had to have made up some sort of plate that would cover up the hole under the clearance light. I decided to mount mine between the center clearance light and the right Light. I drilled a hole for the wire to go through that is big enough for the camera connector to pass through. Then I fed the wire through the structure to tap off of the center clearance light wires . There was enough room for me to stuff all the wire that comes with the camera in the wall of the RV. Earlier this year I bought another Amtifo camera for another RV that had the capabilities of adding a second camera. That one I mounted on the existing center clearance light and used the base of the clearance light to attach the camera too. That camera had a grommet pre attached to the camera cable that was big enough to fit the thickness of the fiberglass of the RV wall. This one did not have a grommet Pre-attached to the cable. Fortunately I had cut that grommet off the other camera before I installed it and saved it so I was able to slide it over this camera cable and it worked out great. Make sure you check the wires on your RV for polarity (+12/-12 volts) and don't go by color. I made the mistake of assuming the Green wire would be ground or negative and the white wire would be Positive, but I was wrong (Who wires up anything with a green wire that is positive?) So the camera would not connect to the monitor at all until I took the clearance light off and checked the polarity of the wires. After I switched the wires it paired right away.     • I could see the person in the car behind me!
I had a backup camera from a well known vendor FuRRi@N. The installation of the camera from them was easy and integrated into the camper like an OEM camera. Unfortunately the quality of the video was so bad I could not always make out what was behind me. The AMTIFO camera installation was likewise easy to install but I had to use caulk to cover holes in the mounting bracket . I suspect the original FuRRi@N plate if available would have covered most of these holes. Once I got the camera installed and viewed the monitor screen, I could not believe my eyes. This is how a camera is supposed to look! I could actually see the person in the car behind me at a stop light. The safety using this camera will be so much better than I previously experienced. I am very happy with this product and only wished I had originally purchased this one a few years back. ... show more
