Hard to find in your local food market, but necessary for things like Ma's Caesar salad dressing, the umami undertone you want in your Sunday meatloaf or meatballs, or a variety of incidental "you know what this needs?" moments in the kitchen. A tube kept in the fridge will probably last until the next millenium, if you use it sparingly. For a cool (cruel?) practical joke, make a faux toothpaste wrapper for it and slip it in the guest bathroom. ... show more
