Normally I wear small in pants and medium in tops (broad shoulders and bustline) so I generally order a Medium in pajama sets. The bottoms' elastic waist looked really small (not like a medium!) but was surprisingly comfortable. The top was pretty roomy; the shoulders hanging off about an inch below where the shoulder seam would be. However that said, they are cute and SUPER comfy and not at all "hot" during sleep - one of the best PJ's I've ever had in terms of comfort. The print and fabric is exactly as pictured in the closeup photos the seller provided: cute and quirky, but not my favorite, which would be 100% cotton. I got these for summer/beach so they'll be perfect for that.
