REVIEW: AMITEX Bed Sheet Set - Premier 1800 Series Collection - Wrinkle, Fade, Stain Resistant - 4 Piece (California King, Ivory) MANUFACTURER: Amitex Global Inc. COMPOSITION: 100% Polyester WASH: Machine wash cold on gentle cycle, tumble-dry low, no bleach, no iron, no dry-clean SIZE: Cal King (108” x 102” flat sheet, 84” x “72” x 14” fitted sheet) COLOR: Ivory STYLE: Microfiber sheet set, with fitted and flat sheets, and two king-sized pillowcases GUARANTEE: Lifetime MADE IN: China California King mattresses, sheets, and comforters are always the odd-size out in a lot of bedding products. Finding decent quality items in that size is always a little tougher, so when I saw these Amitex sheets were STYLE & CONSTRUCTION The sheets come in a brushed microfiber, which is a kind of polyester. Normally, polyester isn’t thought of as having a soft, comfortable texture, but this kind of microfiber does. If you wear glasses, you may use microfiber wipes to clean your glasses, and the material in these sheets is the same thing, but with a lighter weight more appropriate for sheets. In theory, it resists stains, shrinking, pilling, and some of the other problems in other sheet material. The stitching is single-stitch, and the fitted sheet elastic runs in a single loop channel around the sheet. Nothing fancy, and perfectly acceptable. No hanging threads, no sewing mistakes. The fitted sheet also includes corner stays to help keep the corners of the sheet from slipping out of the corner of the mattress, a welcome addition. As a manmade fiber, in theory polyester microfiber should be extremely durable. Amitex offers a “Lifetime Promise” that you can return the sheets at any time, no questions asked, so I guess the company will stand behind durability. SIZING The sizing was exactly right for Cal King. No complaints. COMFORT I used these sheets for a month and washed them a couple times. They softened slightly with the addition of fabric softener in the wash, but in general, they are as comfortable as a high quality cotton, if a little thinner. The brushed microfiber is pleasantly soft for a manmade fiber. The one slight knock against comfort is that I noticed this Amitex set was warmer than high-quality cotton sheets. In addition, it was slightly warmer and less breathable than a similar 100% polyester microfiber sheet set I own from another manufacturer. So if your bedroom runs a little too warm during summer anyway, these sheets may exacerbate that heat. Perhaps not enough for discomfort, but they certainly won’t lessen the issue. General thoughts… PRO + Soft. + Cal King size is what it says it is, rather than a regular King relabeled. + The fitted sheet includes corner stays, which is a nice touch. + The pillowcases have three lines of matching color embroidery detail, which offers some textural contrast. + The ivory color is a true ivory. + Washes fine, with minimal wrinkling when dried. + Comes with a “Lifetime Promise” guarantee. MEH * A little warmer than similar cotton sheets, and this Amitex set was warmer than a similar microfiber set I had in another brand. * Made in China. CON - None so far. SUMMARY If you are looking for a decent set of fitted sheets in a Cal King size, I can certainly recommend these sheets from Amitex. That said, I don’t quite like them as much as a similarly priced set of microfiber sheets I own from a different manufacturer, as those other sheets are cooler and a tad softer, with a more appealing jacquard weave. For that reason, I’m rating these Amitex sheets four stars. Recommended.

These sheets are perfect for when you need to wash your favorite sheets and need a pair of sheets on your bed in the meantime. They are affordable and soft. They are fairly thin though which work better for those really hot summer months.

These sheets fit right.. They are not super deep but for a 10in mattress these fit without issue. The quality seems solid and this set should last a few years of regular use. I would call these a 4 star buy.

These sheets and pillow cases are soft, have a generous enough size to fit my deep mattress and large pillows. They have held up well so far after being laundered twice (washing normal cycle in cool water, drying on medium heat). I don't use the elastic bands attached to the pockets of the bottom sheet and wish they weren't there, but they might be useful in some cases. These sheets are noticeably thinner than my other sheet sets and since I'm not sure how long they would last with regular use, I plan to use them primarily for my guest room bed. On the other hand, because of their thinness, they aren't as bulky in the washing machine and they dry quickly, which is a plus. Overall I am satisfied with this sheet set and give it 4" (I Like It)
