I went with the maximum zoom, because I figured why not? Well, turns out I wasn't really understanding how that would work. One side of the mirror is a "normal" mirror, while the other side is zoomed in to whatever degree you choose. The maximum one definitely zooms in very far, but you need to close one eye and find the right angle and distance to position the mirror to see whatever you're looking at zoomed in. In hind sight, I should have gone for the lowest zoom.

It’s small but excellent for travel. I like it’s got a handle. I purchased a larger one without a handle and it sticks to glass, tile, ceramic well. I prefer the larger size but keeping this smaller hand held for travel.

I bought this product for my mother for our New York trip. She is now severely addicted to using it. I thought she was being dramatic UNTILL I tried it. AND HOLY MOLY.
