I am in the process of building my home gym, and needed high quality, affordable bumper plates to be able to do power cleans and other exercises that require the weights to hit the floor not-so-gently. Upon some research, I happened to come across this brand, and decided to purchase the set of 45s, 25s, and 10s, and so far I have been impressed. These weights came in nice packaging, and it was a breeze to take them out and begin to use them. The weights have that traditional, funky, somewhat bitter rubber smell to them, so if you're not really a fan of that smell, I'd recommend giving a good wash, which is what I did. The weights are solid, and I personally find it nice that the physical sizes of the plates makes it easier to tell them apart, but also the color of each bumper plate lettering and numbering makes it even easier to tell them apart. The plates are pretty easy to grab and have a solidness to them that I like. One thing that I particularly noticed and liked is that when I added the 45s along with traditional iron Olympic plates, these bumper plates keep the other ones from hitting the floor by virtue of being physically bigger. I can honestly tell that this is going to be a lifesaver for the floor of my garage. Overall I think that while these are pricey when compared to iron weights, for rubber plates, these are a steal and definitely recommend having at least one pair around. ... show more

I just received my plates earlier than expected. The cardboard packaging was duct taped up to keep the plates securely inside and the plates were each individually packaged in plastic bags. When I removed the plates from the plastic they were in great condition and exactly as advertised. I weighed the plates and verified they actually each weighed 15 pounds as marked on the plates.     • Home Gym No Intentional Drops
Shipping: Weights arrived in 2 separate shipments as expected from previous reviews. Seller sent an email providing tracking numbers for both which was nice since Amazon only tracks a single shipment. About a week between my order time and last package delivered which was right on the first date quoted for arrival. Material: I specifically chose crumb rubber plates for lower cost since I am not planning on using them for drops… just wanted rubber to protect my floor. The texture of the crumb rubber makes gripping them a little easier. The 25lb bumpers are about a 3/8” wider than the virgin rubber set I have giving them a little more stability on deadlift warmups. The cores look durable and fit snug onto my bar without being difficult to slide(bar is 1-7/8” measured diameter). Colored flecks are nice but thickness differences are a dead giveaway for weight values. Scent: As others have noted, the smell is strong straight from the package. I opened mine outdoors and left them there for over a week to allow the smell to dissipate. They are indoors now with no complaints from anyone. Accuracy: 45lb weights each weighed in at 44.5lbs while the 25lb weights each weighed 24.9lbs. Solid matches and reasonable tolerances for my needs. The diameters match each other and my existing bumper plates. Overall: These look durable and hoping that my uses will allow them to last a long time. Price was decent at $1.50/lb after shipping. I was looking to be able to keep progressing at a reasonable cost without damaging my floors with iron plates and these fit the bill perfectly. ... show more

First off, great price as these were on sale so I ordered specifically two (2) 45lb. high bounce bumper plates. Shipping was pretty fast but when I opened each package, I noticed both were actually low bounce 45lb. Bumpers. Also, these were not colored coded as described when purchased (not a deal breaker). I’ll have to see if these are worth keeping now being that shipping back 90lbs. worth of merchandise is slightly more difficult. These seem ok but feel more of a plastic/rubber material which is the reason I wanted the high bounce recycled bumpers instead. Very frustrating. ***Update*** Used these and they definitely seem sturdy/decent quality. Low bounce and feel true to weight. I’m definitely keeping them but still, they were not what I originally ordered and would have been happier with the high-bounce. Overall, for the discounted price for each with Prime shipping…..great deal. ... show more
