Sturdier than expected. The drawers are not attached which some complain about but I prefer because it makes it easier to pull them out without moving the nightstands. I do wish there was a better way to secure the drawers when closed but it does the job for the most part. The bed was much shorter than my previous bed so I didn't like it being lower and purchased a metal 5 inch box spring. We did have to attach that box spring to the frame with strong zip ties or it moves but when it was just the mattress it didn't move at all. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Now, let me preface that we have not slept in the bed yet, but it is put together. It is a beautiful bed frame and fairly easy to put together for two people. I do think that the instructions could have been better at times, and we were missing two whole steps somehow, but it was easy to figure out. The quality is actually better than I thought it would be! But the REAL highlight of this but is the customer service! Please note your bed frame will comes in two packages, and sometimes by two different carriers. Check your emails or Amazon messages for updates from the seller! When I got to step 2 in the instructions I realized I was missing two pieces that were very important to the frame. I was dreading having to deal with a seller on Amazon about this (I've had issues in the past from other sellers over this). BUT THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! They messaged back within 24 hours, provided an entire replacement BOX, not just the 2 parts I needed, and shipped it to me (no charge), and did not ask for me to return anything. They were very kind, understanding, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. So far, I love this bed. It's beautiful ❤️ but I really enjoyed the customer service experience as it was by far the easiest I have ever had on Amazon!

The instructions were so bad that it took me hours longer than it should have to make this bed frame. The pictures were constantly wrong. I'd end up doing things the way it said, and then steps later I'd find out that they had me build a part wrong. By the end of building the whole bed frame, I went to put in the shelves, only to find out that the instructions had me build the middle shelf walls facing the wrong way. So the left and right cubbies are missing the holes to put the pegs in. I'm not about to take apart most of the bed again to fix it so I guess no shelves for me.

OK, where to even begin? For starters, one page of the instructions was duplicated and another was omitted entirely, so I got to "extrapolate" what the missing couple of steps were. The two center cross-member pieces that attach to the footboard did not have the holes drilled for the bolts intended to hold the legs on, nor did the footboard have the holes drilled to attach said cross-members to. As a result, those central supports are now essentially unsecured, and only braced by their own downward force holding the legs in place underneath them. Parts 3 and 4 (non-identical, but similar pieces) were cross-labeled as each other, meaning without taking the time to really double check layout and orientation you would absolutely get to the point where they are half installed and nothing lines up, leading you to have to back step and rebuild. Your parts list runs alphabetically up to the letter "Y", and yet for some reason the part which should have been "W" was in a bag marked "Z", a designation that does not exist in the included parts inventory. Honestly, if I churned out this level of "work" when I was working as a machinist I would be updating my resume real freaking quick. It got a 2 simply because at the end of the day I was able to get it assembled to the point of serving its function as a bed, and I reserve the rock-bottom rating of 1 for products that are totally objective failures, but please be assured this thing came dang close to earning that distinction. Also, the "drawers" barely fit the minimum definition of such. There are no tracks holding them in place, and they are simply secured by a half screwed in allen bolt slotting into an eyelet in the siderails of the frame, with single directional casters allowing them to roll in and out from underneath. Those are bins, not drawers, and the janky way that they are "secured" means you are constantly one nudge away from them becoming knocked loose, out of alignment, and just generally pretty freaking ugly. I guess if I had to find a positive it would be that it seems fairly stable structurally despite all of the jacked-up hardware, so if you were lucky enough to get one that you could *actually* build properly it'd probably be solid AF.

It does look nice and the metal parts go together easily. It's great having the outlets on top and it definitely looks alot nicer than the cost paid. However, the wood isn't cut precisely enough, so the drawers don't line up with the holes that they're supposed to be seated on. It also really needs to be bracketed to the wall or the bed sways enough for items to drop from the shelves if you have movement caused by dogs, kids, or anything else. I've had mine for 4 months and have tried to just work with it, but the bed has come apart some and I've put it back together.
