It's a higher quality particle board (basically multiple super compressed layers of cardboard) but it's still board not wood. Instructions could be better. It's study enough for my 55 inch Samsung OLED S95B. The actually TV mount part it iffy. There's nothing actually locking the TV onto the mount it just hook 🪝 locks, no screws or latches. It shouldnt come off unless intentional but still..the TV can slide on the mount as well which I don't like. ... show more

Maybe I’m just incompetent but it took myself and my roommate almost three hours to put this together. The instructions aren’t super clear and The provided tools don’t actually assist at all during the build process. That said, once put together it holds my 70” tv without issue. It feels sturdy and with the weight of the tv added on it’s incredibly difficult to tip. Since it’s back heavy, placing it against a wall will make the tv an immovable object, without any screws into the wall. Perfect for an apartment or other rental since it doesn’t need anchored, but also looks good enough to be a permanent fixture in a permanent residence. The shelves aren’t incredibly thick, so don’t expect to put anything heavier than a game console or Dvr on the top two shelves, but it has plenty of cable pass throughs to keep everything looking neat and orderly. ... show more

I bought this because i wanted to get my 65 inch tv off the wall mount. Alot of little screws, the wood is the compressed type so it might not hold up too long if you move it around too much. You have to build the levels then put it aside once all are build you have to build it up and this is easy but a bit uncomfortable to get into where the screws go, its about 16 steps with 29 assemblies. I have 3 levels but they but i might make it 2 levels because my son wants to climb the stand. The drawers was the hardest part for me because. The screws for the mount did not fit the back of my tv, luckily i had a old wall mount so i used those screws to hang it on the mount the stand brought. Seems to hold good and strudy ... show more

Don't get me wrong, this is a very nice TV stand. Either offer a pre-assembled version, have a handy man assemble this or minimum 2 people for assembly. I am highly mechanically inclined and I struggled with this assembly, doing it by myself. Took 4 hours which is WAAAAAAY too long for this type of DIY.
