My 2003 conversion van seats are starting to show a bit of their age so I bought these hoping I could make them work. I folded up the armrest material to double it over and sewed it so the armrest pocket area hung down to the right height for the van seats. The stretchy strap meant to hold it in place over the back of the chair was too wide, however, that was shortened and sewed back on so that I could take the top of the chair cover over the headrest and use the stretchy strap to loop over this and keep it looking neat. Finally, I sewed down the top corners by the headrest just to make it look more fitted. The only negative here is that the silicone grippers don't really grip all that well. I've found that to be true with the covers I use in my home (dogs on couches) and those are covers from another company so I think it's likely a standard problem. I still gave five stars because these look so nice and will definitely protect the seats well. I didn't comment on their waterproof status as I hope to never learn how well that works :) ... show more

I have a new leather recliner and now a new puppy! To prevent scratches I’ve been using a blanket but it keeps sliding off the arms. This protects the top and arms well. It also has arm pockets which I needed anyway😊 the quilted material is lightweight yet sturdy and washable. Since it doesn’t completely cover the arms I put my blanket under it at least until puppy is older. ... show more

The color was pretty true to the image provided and it took all of 60 seconds to slip on.. My only ding (which is why it got 4 stars) was that the side arms are TREMENDOUSLY LONG so they cover the side controls for the chair. If you have a chair with overstuffed arms., this should not be an issue.

This old powered medical recliner is 10 or 12 years old the padding in the arms is broken down or displaced and the Ameritex Waterproof Nonslip Recliner Cover has given us another few years, at least. The pockets on the arms are very convenient for remotes and such.
