It’s a great set, and after all these years, I still have it today. Granted, it’s very heavy compared to this new set, and my old set also doesn’t have wheels, and therefore, no trolley handles. This new set is an excellent mid-grade set. The zippers operate smoothly and easily, and they’re set up to allow you to add your own luggage locks, if desired. The 4 double spinner wheels rotate and roll easily, and the trolley handles adjust easily to a couple of different lengths - perfect both for me, at 6’3”, and my wife, at 5’2”. The two larger pieces have convenient top and side handles for either horizontal or vertical carrying. The smaller carry-on case has only a top handle for vertical carrying. The dividers on the interior are sufficient to contain your belongings within each half of the cases. There’s also a zippered pocket within each case for carrying smaller items. I’m not sure where they got the advertised measurements from. The 28” case is actually 30” tall including the wheels - 27 1/2” for just the case. The 24” case is actually 26 1/4” tall including the wheels - 23 3/4” for just the case. The 20” carry-on is actually 21” tall including the wheels - 18 1/2” for just the case. Each case has a separate zipper which allows the case to expand 1” when unzipped - good for overstuffing the case on your return trip, allowing you to bring home some purchases from your destination. The cases also come with a 10 year warranty. Even though these are completely different than my 46 year old American Tourister luggage (they’re much improved), I expect them to last for many years. ... show more

This set of luggage is perfect for me. The carry-on is spacious enough for two to three days worth of clothes and toiletries. For longer stays or more than one person the mid-size piece does the trick. For those who need even more space, the largest suitcase has room for much more. The hard outer shell keeps my things safe from bangs, stacking, and rough treatment. The inner compartment is separated in halfs with a zippable side and an elastic buckle on the other. The dividing fabric also has a zippable pocket. Each suitcase can be expanded to hold "just a little more" and the zippers have loops for a lock. The extendible handles have a push button to release them so they stay in place. A carry handle on the top and side allow the cases to be carried and heaved with ease. The 4 wheels on the bottom are on casters and each can rotate 360 degrees making dragging by extended handle or just the top handhold easy. (My children enjoy just spinning the case in place.) The light pink color shows smudges and dirt easily but is easy to identify on the luggage carousel. I really love this set! The zippers are strong and durable, even when cramming the luggage beyond full. ... show more

Not my first set of American Tourister luggage, these did not disappoint. The luggage was very well constructed. The shell is extremely light yet strong. The interior lining is made of good material; no frills but remains functional. The zippers are very strong (I tend to carry the luggage by the zipper as I close or open them). They even thought of putting in a larger handle for the expansion zipper. The adjustable handles are solid but light as well. The grips appear to be of usual reliability expected from American Tourister luggage. Love the wheels! They run very smooth and quiet, similar to Tumi luggage. Even the color looked really good. It is a nice subtle pink, which should be easy to identify at a luggage carousel with mostly black luggage. Now why only four stars? There are a couple of things I noted that would earned the final star. One, the luggage finish has a slight texture to it. Though I could be wrong, textured finishes have a tendency to capture dirt more than smooth finishes. So I imagine this luggage getting dirty very quickly. And two, the luggage does not have any integrated locks. It also does not come with padlocks. So there is an underlying extra expense that comes with this luggage set. ... show more
