I am a ceramist and enjoy pretty clay creations. I know these are not handmade, but I do appreciate the design, the shape and the glaze on these pieces. The only thing I do not prefer is the weight of them. They are pretty heavy, so I guess one has to weigh pros and cons. I would prefer that they be slightly shorter at the rim, and slightly thinner and therefore lighter. Still, I enjoy using them as an adequate-sized plate that things won’t fall off of. ... show more

These came well packed no chips to be had. The label on the bottom peeled off cleanly which is great. I had a normal amount of pasta in one today and the bowl look a little empty. Empty but pretty should be great for a nice big salad. They stacked well too.

The media could not be loaded. My favorite kind of dish to eat from is a bowl or bowl/plate hybrid like this, and I really love these wide and shallow pasta bowls! I didn’t really care for the color when I first saw them, but it has grown on me. Unfortunately, despite these plates being described as, ‘light to hold,’ these are actually some very heavy, porcelain plates, each one weighing almost two pounds!! If you have any issues with heavy cookware/stoneware, sadly, these are not for you; I just deal with the weight because I like them so much). One more thing that bugs me is that they’re so big that my forks always slide into my food, but the catch is that I love how wide they are (LOL). FYI, they're actually not stackable like you would think (check out the video). These are dishwasher and microwave safe. There is a warning on the bottom that the plate can get quite hot coming out of the microwave, and that is an absolute fact. However, the sides don’t get as hot as the bottom, so sometimes I find myself being able to hold it around the sides without needing a cloth or oven mitt. Of course, these aren’t just for pasta, and they’re a little too shallow for soup, but anything you can eat out of a bowl or plate you can eat from these! You can tell that these are quality made and for just $35, this is a great buy. I definitely recommend these versatile pasta bowls. ... show more

These bowls are the perfect size for making a big chef salad in. I like these bowls for almost anything. I even use them instead of plates these days. The design reduces how often I spill food and are so easy to clean. They do get a little warm in the microwave not to hot and they cool quickly. These pasta bowls are really nice and sturdy, they feel very substantial in your hands. I love the muted blue color which makes them look rustic and easily blends with many other color pallets. They are dishwasher and microwave safe and perfect for every day use, but can also look fancy on a well designed table setting. They are about an inch deep, so they are perfect for things like pastas, salads, and rice bowls but the shape makes them a bit tricky to fit in a standard dishwasher rack. They appear very well-made and I know our family will be getting regular use out of them. They stack within each other in a way that makes them easy to store and they came in a very sturdy box that prevented any kind of damage while in transit.
