I've snowshoe- ed for over 50 years. My experience goes back to the old bentwood and caned models. I've had several different designs over the years and I've learned the single most important feature in a snowshoe is the binding. How well they hold your foot and how easily they are to put on and off. These shoes are the best in that respect. After receiving and trying the first pair I ordered two more pair. One bit of advise on size; unless you're going to the mountains or somewhere where you're going to encounter 3'+ of snow, go for the smaller/shorter size regardless of your weight. Most people will be using them on trails used by many others or groomed and will never need the extra length to stay above the snow. Go for the shorter, light weight and more maneuverable model. ... show more

    • The straps are the same size despite the length of the snowshoe.
A size 10 "Sorel" brand boot barely fits in the binding of a larger size snow shoe and the straps for the smaller size snow shoe are too long for a size 4 "Sorel" boot . I would recommend that the business uses different size straps for the snowshoes. The tails of the straps hang past the snowshoe and barely hold the boot place for the smaller snowshoe and for the larger snowshoe I do not think anything larger than a size 10 Sorel boot would be able to be strapped in place. Also, one of the poles did not stay locked in place while hiking. It was constantly collapsing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Last year when I would visit my friend in the Pacific Northwest he would take me snowshoeing and it was so much fun. I found out locally here in Pittsburgh and in New York there’s quite a bit of trails that are Greta for snow shoeing. Try the side of this year to bite the bullet and buy a pair they said has everything you need goggles trekking poles and the snow shoes included as well as a travel bag which is nice if I ever visit my friend in Seattle to go snowshoeing and this will be easy to pack. I ordered the 21", 70-150 lbs. These might work for men but I found them too heavy and the buckles too hard to open and close, and that was inside a warm house.

Light weight snow shoes my brother enjoy hunting and I thought if he had a pair of snowshoe it would make it much more easier for him to go to his tree stand for hunting he love that these are very easy to put on and take off and super lightweight
