The pool sensor works well with two other F007-type stations that I already had, and as long as it continues to work, I won't have anything bad to report. It seems to be quite accurate (and can be calibrated, in any case). The WS-100 station initially gave me some problems - I could always access it by its web UI on my LAN, but I wanted to be able to see the temp on the app on my phone or on the ambientweather.net website. That worked only intermittently, and nothing I tried fixed it. I submitted a support request, and the person who replied was immediately able to solve the problem by resetting my account. It has been working flawlessly since then, and I know that I'll be able to get help if the problems returns. She also answered some other questions that I had about how the sensors are displayed by the WS-100, so I can highly recommend the support that I received from Ambient Weather, as well as the products that I own: five sensors and three stations (consoles).

It was good for one round of batteries, then it started to be hit and miss. By the 3rd battery set, it stopped working. This got me a little over a year's worth of use. The sun has since baked it and it looks like 10 years wear and tear instead of 1. It is meant to be outside in the sun and you can see blisters and from the top you can see through straight to the electronics that probably got baked and ultimately broke the device.

I was hopeful this product would let me monitor my spa temperatures while traveling, as I live in a cold climate and worry about my hot tub freezing should the water pump fail. The Ambient Weather station set up fairly easily, taking about 2 hours, and worked well for 2 weeks, then stopped. I tired new batteries, resetting the sensor, reinstalling the gateway, changing the dip switches; nothing worked. Just trashed it today. Don't bother with this product.

Works well - now that I have it working. Instructions and ‘indicator lights’ are cryptic to say the least. Even working out which of the three ‘Ambient’ Apps to download was unclear (it’s AmbientWeather). Then i had to 1) connect it to my WiFi (instructions horrible), 2) register an account on their cloud service 3) add the specific weather station, and 4) make sure the pool sensor is communicating with the weather station. The last step took me the longest, because I assumed a solid green light meant I was connected. Not so. By placing the pool sensor into a vase of hot water I was eventually able to convince myself I had an appropriate connection. Just an FYI - every time you unplug the weather station you have to ‘reconnect’ the pool sensor by pressing the RF button. But now it DOES work well - giving me the pool temp and temp history even when at work.

I've had this product for a few days now and it has significantly exceeded my expectations. Setup was pretty much standard for a smart home device. The web interface and (free) cloud services are so far 100% reliable. In fact, I was VERY pleased to discover that Ambient Weather offers Smart Home users the RESTful API which allowed me to pull all my data directly into my smart home server (in my case, Home Assistant). Again, great product, great features, great price!

Very poor instructions for set up. Took a lot of trial and error to get it connected to both the internet and to the pool thermometer. Once done went to relocate the equipment and found out it had to be set up all over again. Hopefully we won’t have too many power outages. This is a pain to set up. But once it is working it seems to work well

I have many devices that connect via wifi. These devices can be read anywhere I have wifi this device requires a connection with Ambient. I did connect once but lost my connection and now can't reconnect. No help from Ambient. I'm pitching it!
