I bought this because it was a) a good deal and b) a direct replacement. My old system stopped working, and I wanted this because it was so simple to just unplug the old in plug in the new. There are Gremlins in my house and things stop working for unknown reasons. The remote system to the propane gas fireplace unit was a recent victim. I ordered a kit from this vendor and they sent it out but for some unknown reason the parcel was delayed or lost. BUT, the vendor was very cooperative and resent another kit which was promptly received. They were courteous and proactive and I was given top notch service.     • Controlled Temperature is Great
My "finished" basement has a gas fireplace and I was in need of a way to heat the room, while not having to turn on/off my gas fireplace. The remote was the perfect solution that enable the main living area to not require as much heat to compensate for the cold that was coming from downstairs. I set it to 60 degrees and the room is quite comfortable. The main heating unit for the main level does not run as much. My cats, who live in the finished basement are more comfortable as well.     • Two working.
Great replacement for the two old remotes that used sound requiring me to point at the gas log to control it. These use coded radio frequency that can go through walls and the temperature control is very accurate. The new connections went right where the old connections were and simply push on.

    • Plug and play replacement
This remote control was purchased to replace a ten year old one that bit the dust sometime during the summer. It was plug and play with the cord from the original one and set up took about a minute. Now Mama's warm and all is well in our house again.

    • This was SO EASY to hook up --- even I was able to install it !!!
This was hooked up in 2 minutes and worked on the first try. What can I say , it works and was easy to install. I recommend this to anyone who has a millivolt gas valves in their gas fireplace.
