i have not traveled with this amazon basics 28" expandable spinner yet, so after the big trip in a couple weeks i can update with a performance review. however, the case is lacking a couple key features i think it worthwhile to mention. nearly every other suitcase i have ever used has these features, so it is surprising that one with a pricetag over $100 does not. the first missing feature is some kind of handle or grip on the bottom. this seems like a standard and logical feature that every suitcase should have so that the user and handlers can load, unload, and generally move it around with relative ease. a large suitcase like this, when it is loaded will easily be around the common weight limit of 50 pounds. without the handle or grip on bottom it will be very awkward to move and invites use of the wheels as a grab point which could result in breakage. the second missing feature is the lack of those overlapping loops on the zippers to place a lock through. i don't like the built in locks on suitcases and prefer to use my own small padlocks. since this case doesn't have a built in lock, the least they could do was include the overlapping loops on the zippers. the zipper tabs do have holes at the end and a lock could be placed there, but the overlapping loops are just so much more secure and have less chance of being damaged where they are in tight against the bag rather than dangling off of the bag an inch or so. otherwise the bag seems to be constructed well and rolls easily when empty. i will try to update this review after we travel halfway around the world and back. ... show more

So far I've made one trip using this carry-on suitcase. It easily held everything I needed for a weekend trip and was easy to roll around. Unfortunately I was on a commuter airline, which stored all bags larger than a popcorn box, so I still can't attest as to whether it fits comfortably in overhead storage bins in a "real" airliner. We needed a midsize suitcase for a trip and this 24” (26” with wheels) fit the bill. This one was perfect. Fits a lot, and when loaded it’s only about 35-38 pounds, depending on what you fill your suitcase with. This actually is the correct size (including wheels and handles) for United Regional planes! Hurrah!!!! Had to look through a lot of carry on descriptions, and this one fit the bill! Also, its spinners made the long epic journey across Denver airport possible. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and fit into the airplane bin just fine. I'm very happy with the purchase. Took this case to Japan and back, and it performed very well. I ended up returning the case because I would like to purchase a smaller version but all in all it packed all my belongings/souvenirs that I brought home with me and was easy to commute with through the train stations and airports.

Great suitcase for personal and business travel. Made it very well through a 2 week stint through Europe, and then domestic flights as well. Pros: hardsided (vs. cloth) reduces chance of bringing a bed bug home, unusual color is easy to spot on luggage conveyer, fairly lightweight, roomier than expected, very easy to maneuver over smooth/slick surfaces, and has been durable, outside washes pretty easily with a Scotch pad and soapy water. Cons: while fairly lightweight, it still has a bit more weight than some others. Handle feels a little flimsy, but there has been no problems with it, so maybe it's sturdier than you think. Harder to walk with it over carpet (better to tilt it and use only 2 wheels then). Overall: great quality for the cost - would definitely buy one again. ... show more

Have had this case for almost 5 years now and am very happy with it. Only on here referencing this order because I want to get another larger one for a longer trip. This has gone with me on multiple international trips and been checked, loaded, and unloaded on 150+ flights over the last 5 years and while it has a couple punctures in the outer shell they don't go all the way through. The wheels are holding just fine if a little worn down and a couple flat spots. The extending handle has had no issues despite being rolled down European streets and sidewalks and the grab handles for loading and unloading are perfectly intact!     • Great carry-on bag, but beware

I've had a black 20" spinner for about a year. I love the bag and will keep using until it completely fails. One half of one of the wheel pairs broke on my last trip, but the bag still works fine. I'll probably buy another one when this one breaks, and use the old one for parts assuming the wheels are the same type. The replacement cost of the wheels is about 30% of the cost of the bag, so it didn't make sense to try and repair it now. If you are looking for a durable piece of luggage, this isn't it. If you want something that is inexpensive and worth it, then look no further. ... show more
